About this listen

The following poems are an homage to the journey of the soul, an exploration of the complex tapestry of grief, love, and memory that death weaves into the fabric of the living.

In these verses, we find a reflection of the myriad emotions that accompany us today. They are solemn yet hopeful, acknowledging the depth of our sorrow while gently reminding us of the indelible mark left by those who have passed. Through the open style of these poems, we are invited into a space of contemplation, where words flow freely, unbound by the strictures of rhyme, mirroring the unpredictable course of our thoughts and feelings in times of mourning.

These poems do not shy away from the gravity of our gathering but embrace it, offering a voice to our collective mourning and individual solitude. They speak to the soul's journey, to the enduring presence of love beyond the physical confines of this world, and to the light that those we have lost continue to shine upon our paths.

As we listen to or read these words, let us find within them a shared solace, a recognition of our grief, and a quiet hope. They are a tribute to the lives we are here to honor, a reminder that though they have left our physical world, their essence remains, woven into the stories of our lives, forever cherished and remembered.

Let these poems be a balm for the heart, a whisper of comfort in the midst of sorrow, and a beacon of light guiding us towards remembering not just that we have lost, but that we have loved, deeply and truly.

The sentimental work is wonderfully carried by a phenomenal reader! Steady and clear but delicately nuanced by the readers talent for emotive tone, pace and inflection! I will be eager to find new work from the same reader!

Exciting new talent!

“Now that I am Gone” is an excellent book (audiobook) and is easily listening. It would be especially helpful for anyone dealing with grief after the loss of a friend or loved one. It provides you with a perspective that you never really think about when dealing with their death. The person who died had a profound affect on you during their lifetime. Hopefully, it was a good affect and influence. Their memory and spirit live on in many ways. They also ultimately merge back into nature and the universe around us. I liked the audio book so much that I also bought the paperback book. It would be a good gift and I believe helpful for someone that recently experienced the loss of a friend or family member.
