About this listen
Follow the harrowing journey of a select group of survivors as they grapple with the unforgiving new reality. US Army Colonel Thomas Bradley, a brilliant electronic expert from the Defense Intelligence Agency, leads this diverse ensemble. Together, they seek refuge within the unfinished Yucca Mountain Nuclear Waste Repository, their last hope in an unhinged world.
Within the cavernous depths of the mountain, these resilient survivors must confront the myriad challenges of a post-apocalyptic existence, all while fending off relentless assaults from a militant faction hell-bent on seizing their sanctuary. Over two tumultuous years, they master the art of subsistence beneath the Earth's surface, their unwavering determination fueled by the dream of a brighter tomorrow.
Yet, when they finally dare to venture back into the surface world, they encounter an unforeseen adversary: the radioactive fallout borne by marauding storms, forever altering the once-predictable seasons. Worse still, their battle against the Islamic jihadists, who ignited the global conflagration, proves far from resolved. Forced to retreat to their subterranean refuge, they grapple with the ominous resurgence of nuclear winter, their future shrouded in uncertainty.
"Nuclear Winter TEOTWAWKI" marks the gripping inaugural chapter of a four-book saga, immersing readers in an enthralling narrative of survival, human resilience, and the indomitable spirit to persevere in a world forever transformed.

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Story
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Cal's "honeymoon" didn't start off quite how he'd planned. For starters, he was heading somewhere he didn't actually want to go. And secondly, he was going alone and unmarried. He had no idea that his first visit to New York City would also land him in the middle of a domestic terror attack, forcing him to flee Manhattan in a desperate bid to survive. This was no ordinary terror attack. The Movement, in a misguided attempt to seize political control of the USA, unwittingly invited the destruction of their homeland.

Story
President John F. Kennedy once said, “Mankind must put an end to war or war will put an end to mankind.” Today, a new element has been introduced to the preparations—artificial intelligence. The United States, in its quest to rapidly and effectively defend the nation from a nuclear attack, has incorporated AI into its operation plan of response. But what if the artificial intelligence relied upon by the nation’s decision-makers is wrong? What if AI takes the controls of America’s nuclear response? Might it trigger nuclear war without justification?

Story
The 2020 Commission Report on the North Korean Nuclear Attacks Against the United States is an exciting piece of "speculative fiction." The novel posits that there was a nuclear attack against the US on March 21, 2020 by North Korea, and that a national bipartisan commission was created to investigate what and how it happened. It's pretty scary stuff.

Good story outline and some details but poor execution
I really dislike AI voice as it fails to convey the story and instantly pulls you out of the fantasy. The story is a good foundation for a series but fails to really build up multiple characters or challenges they have to face.
Seems like the author got tired of the story halfway in and wanted to just finish.
