About this listen

I knew my metformin made me feel awful and lowered my levels by only about 50 points after the first year. The only thing I knew really lowered my levels was exercise.
Dr. Whitaker added supplemets and diet to the mix and with even more success for me. Just plain old horse sense that avoids the "drug cure all" mentality.
You have to do what is right for you, but this book upheld my feeling that clinics all over America are getting rich on Type II Diabetics and with little personalized care. They pretty much prescribe the same drugs and ignore diet and exercise other than to tell you to "cut out sugar and get some exercise". Easy money and with little consideration of the side effects of many of the drugs they prescribe.
Controversial for certain, but I feel better than I have in years without drugs. I would encourage you to get his printed book Reversing Diabetes for the plan, as this audiobook merely touches on the details.
The book is a great and informative read, narrated by the Author, and will let you know if you desire to further pursue a more refreshing and common sense approach to Type II Diabetes management.
It is hard work and the typical Doctor will not have the time or the attitude to press you into the hard work of REAL lifestyle changes without drugs in my opinion as they simply are part of the large assembly line method of medicine we deploy in America basing everything off of bloodwork that represents ONE MINUTE OF YOUR LIFE IN A GIVEN DAY for all their diagnosis.
They will argue until the moon turns to cheese and YOU have to pick and research YOUR course, but I know MY body better than any once a quarter visit Doctor does, and these methods work for me.
Good Old Hard Work
