Wow, bad

Seriously, why did the narrator have to use a different accent for each character. Welsh, Irish, Australian, bad American. There never seemed a reason why. Also, I think she implied the wrong gender with some, too. The author wasn't in top form, either. Story was a rainbow of gray, a whole lot of what's the point?
