About this listen

It was not the maiden voyage of the intergalactic prototype space vessel, merely a sixty-day test flight. The ship did not even have a name; she was merely called ONE, a designation without dignity. The skeleton crew participating her last “assignment” – that which would precede the actual mission – were derisively referred to as “crash dummies,” meaning they would be expected to step aside when the actual captain and crew assumed their rightful positions for the multi-year mission. Nothing was expected to go wrong. When the unexpected happened – when the ship lost the ability to communicate with Moonbase Francis, and more critically, the ability to navigate, the test flight transformed into a voyage that challenged how the commander and crew would handle the prospect of shipwide system failures. Working together as a team and ultimately as individuals facing a crisis of unendurable magnitude, the voyage of ONE tests the courage, stamina, loyalty and ultimately the core beliefs of every man and woman aboard. I stuck with it and listened to it all...I liked the characters, but they needed a little more attention. The main story line as ok,but he didn't you show them trying to get out of the situation, find the solution? I really thought the ending just wasn't right either. This is on of those books I'd I listened to it ok ,I'm ready to delete it, it's just not a keeper. Theresa's no action just a lot of talking, and yes it did get boring. If I'd of had to pay for it I'd have truly been disappointed.

Needed a little oomph!

I gave this a shot, but I have to say it’s probably the most boring and tedious science fiction book I’ve read in years.
