About this listen
However, what they encounter was far from their expectations. Instead of monstrous beings, they find a galaxy dominated by... Women. Humanity's nearly equal ratio of male to female births is an anomaly. In a society where females far outnumber males, opportunities abound, from unimaginable wealth, to incredible danger, on worlds where immortality is a lifestyle choice and love is available on a scale beyond human comprehension.
On this grand cosmic stage steps Jerry Bridger with a secret mission of his own—to transport a vital piece of Earth's legacy to the stars for the future of humanity. As he navigates through amorous pirates and perilous naval engagements, Jerry will fight like hell while forming bonds in the most unexpected of places, all to forge a future in the stars.
Of Dog, Volpir and Man; a story of spacefaring adventure, high technology and higher hemlines!
Early Reviews:
"I can't believe I'm on 3 hours of sleep in the last 48 hours because of this story."
- Paddydeen, Reader
"Oh are you done reading and ready to be a human again?"
- Paddy's Wife, Mildly Irate Spouse of Reader
"It's like Star Trek had a baby with an unpublished Tom Clancy scifi novel, then some mad man spliced in a harem romance from the mirror universe where everyone's a mature, sensible adult and actually trying to make a multi-member marriage work for the betterment and happiness of everyone involved. It's weird. I like it!"

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. Story
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Story
Our retro-tech towns might seem idyllic, yet go beyond the arcades and coffee shops and you'll reach the danger zones roamed by bionic bots. Me? I ran a video store with my cute friend Emiko. She's always been a little different, so I had to look out for her—we usually just watched movies and played games together. One day, a suspicious pink-haired chick burst into the store, warning me not to watch a tape labeled Property of Steelheart—Do Not Watch! So obviously, I did, and a terrifying ghost crawled out of the screen.

Great space marine exploring the wider universe.
awesome story and I can't wait for the next one. my one complaint is I would like to hear a human narrator, it was by far from the worst a.i. narrator but sometimes fell flat.

Great story I highly recommend, but virtual voice does not do it any favors
I'm rating this five stars overall despite the 1 for performance given the story itself deserves it. For the genre, this is great stuff. I'm likely not the target audience, but despite that it was a good romp. I plan to read the next books the old fashioned way, it as close as a Kindle comes to that. If Audible is the only way you can introduce yourself to Wesson's story, as was the case for me who has far more time to listen to than read a book, go for it. Just don't hold the limitations of VV against the author.

why the voice
I love the book as I've read it on Amazon and I was excited to see it on audible but I am very disappointed about the virtual voice. The voice was stilted and didn't lend itself to painting a very vivid picture while narrating. I truly hope this gets redone with an actual narrator and if possible then a duel narration.
