About this listen

If you are the spouse, a family member, or a friend of an automotive enthusiast, you are likely subjected to endless jabbering about cars. To your special fanatic, cars are a passion that you tolerate, but probably do not understand. Although you might accompany that person to car shows or cruises from time to time, the point of such gatherings might elude you. The tales in this book offer insight about the automotive lifestyle and the genuine, good-hearted people who comprise the car community.

If you are a car enthusiast, you know that the love of cars is what initially binds you with other like-minded folks, but it is the camaraderie and friendships that you cultivate with these people that keep you immersed in the automotive way of life. You understand that the car culture is as much about the people as it is the cars. These tales will resonate with you.

So fire up the engine, grip the steering wheel, and slip the shifter into gear. You are about to depart on a jaunt into the minds and hearts of car fanatics who are eager to share their stories with you.

Cars are more than just machines to many people, and these are some of their stories. pretty Mopar heavy, but the author seems to have a connection to that community. Outside of 2 or 3 pronunciation mistakes, Dan's first foray into book narration was great. He has a smooth voice that makes for an easy listening experience.
