About this listen

This novella of about 27,000 words takes place five years after Lydia Bennet’s elopement and the subsequent ruin of her family. When Elizabeth attempts to rescue Lydia from her life as a courtesan, she is herself mistaken as a woman of ill-repute by Mr. Darcy and his cousin Colonel Fitzwilliam, leading to an amusing tangle when she gains the attention of both gentlemen. This is a sweet, low angst Regency romance with no explicit intimacy and a Christian moral.

Note: This book was originally published in 2021. It has been reedited, but the story is not materially changed from the original.

The story was good. The only thing with virtual voice they could programs male voice to do to male speaking and female to do the female voice. You can't tell who is speaking at times and it makes things a bit confusing. Computers can do what is programed so they could make it better.

This story was perhaps a bit unbelievable that Elizabeth should have travelled to France all by her self. But if believable then yes a great story :) good Jaff.

It was only okay - but dull. Lydia is living at a brothel after Wickham deserted her five years ago. Elizabeth goes to visit her to try to get her to leave - Lydia refuses. Elizabeth accidentally runs into Darcy and Col. Fitzwilliam while visiting.
