About this listen

My best friend. My secret love. Completely untouchable… until one reckless night.

For years, I’ve had one focus: becoming CEO. The finish line is in sight, and nothing will derail me—except her.

She’s been my best friend since college, the one person who knows me better than anyone else. Brilliant, captivating, completely off-limits. And the one I’ve secretly wanted for as long as I can remember.

I’ve kept my feelings locked away, convinced they could ruin everything. Until one night changes everything.

What starts as a celebration turns into something electric—one kiss, one touch, and there’s no going back. Now every glance, every shared moment has me craving more.

But giving in to this love could destroy us both. In my cutthroat world, rumors spread like wildfire, and one wrong move could cost me everything I’ve worked for.

Now I’m standing at a crossroads: my ambition or the love I’ve wanted all my life.

There was no romance in it. The timelines were not really stated so it was hard to figure out how long it was between events. It was a lot of zero communication and then one night together then lying about their feelings toward each other. Followed by one of them leaving and never contacting the other for 8 years. Then she comes home and they meet in a bar and fall into bed. They then decide to make a try together and then one of them starts a new job and wow the job is at the others business and they didn’t make the connection until she shows up there? Oh and the narration was horrible. It changed the MCs names from time to time which made it hard to figure out who was who. This book has a maybe we can make it work not a HEA. It was fade to black with no romance. I tired this author but they are not for me.
