A registered professional engineer, he currently works for a Houston company that drills oil and gas wells. John previously co-authored Reconstructing Eden and the CountryWatch Forecast Yearbook (2003).

LAURA BUCKNER has an undergraduate degree in Sociology from Iowa State University and a graduate degree in Political Science/International Relations. Since retiring from the Air Force she has worked for the Census Bureau, run an environmental engineering company and developed a career coaching program for young adults.
