About this listen

A funny, sexy romance to warm your heart and make you believe in happily ever after!

Every woman makes mistakes. Meet Stormy Clarkson, haunted by the three whoppers she made that changed her life forever. She keeps her distance from men, but now she's crushing on totally gorgeous Sean Butler, owner of Sierra Verde Winery.

Sean's been after her for six months, but she's resisted every advance. She can't risk another mistake, and Sean scares her because of the way he makes her feel.

Stormy learned some hard lessons from the men who wanted her for her face and her body, but not for herself. Armed with iron self-control and the desire never to risk her heart, she's determined to deny what she feels for Sean.

Then one night he kisses her, and that changes everything.

Sean Butler was once an interrogator for the U.S. Army. He knows a lie when he hears one, and that's all he hears in Stormy's icy refusals. Sean's smart enough to know that the only way to deal with a control freak is to make her lose control.

The beautiful blonde had better be on her guard because Sean's got a plan to win her heart. His plan? Whatever it takes.

Never Too Old! - 'Cougar's' Do It Better

Would you listen to Old Enough to Know Better again? Why?

I have listened to it again. It was so evocative of the reality of the mature woman and the way younger men just love them. I love it.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked how her children supported her and did not try to dissuade her from her romance, and were happy for her now that she was in a place that seemed to make her serene and fulfilled. Stormy's relationship with her daughters is wonderful.

Which character – as performed by Holly Adams – was your favorite?

Stormy's character was my favourite. She is complicated, emotional and needed to feel the love of a good man.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed so much at some of the antics, but I was sad about her insecurities because of her past relationships and issues.

Any additional comments?

Sean is such a gorgeous, wonderful guy. He's old enough to know a bit about life and to develop an understanding of the heroine. Even though Stormy is a deeply insecure woman, Sean seems to be just the man to help her overcome her appalling past experiences with men. The fun secondary characters and a breathtaking winery setting set the stage for a wonderful read.Well, I so enjoyed this 'cougar' book. Made me rethink a situation in my life. Wow. Stormy was so conflicted in her responses to her younger beau. Joan I like your style. Sean is wonderful and sexy and Stormy is aptly named. The two of them together is very sweet and yet very steamy. A must read!
