About this listen
Maybe her father will get fired from his job as the building super, as he always does, and they can leave. But Olivia is tired of moving from place to place, from school to school. What she wouldn't give for a little slice of sanity. And maybe a friend to share it with.
In the tradition of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland comes a remarkable debut novel that is quirky, magical, and completely genuine. Ellen Potter offers us a world where even the oddest of characters feel right at home. Come in for a visit: you'll never want to leave.

"Characters and events, real and imaginary, intertwine at a dizzying pace. With a clear voice and steady pace, Tara Sands...narrates Olivia as the young lady she is, with all the squeals, awe, and disbelief of a young person, while also providing distinguishing vocal traits for the supporting cast." "At once exuberant and poignant, Potter's cunningly crafted first novel [is] a memorable debut." (Publishers Weekly, starred review)

Fantastic book!
This book deals with the difficult issues of grief, loneliness and death and yet envelops them deftly in an exciting, fun and original story. Moving without being traumatic. Well read by this narrator too. Excellent for middle grade readers and listeners. Highly recommended.

Olivia Kidney was Funny
(from my 8 yr. old daughter) We listened to this audio book on a long car trip. It was really funny and it passed the time quickly. I really liked the part about the woman and her glass apartment and her dirty air.
My wife and I also enjoyed listening to this title - it's a terrific narration, with a mix of emotions, and the story pulls you along. It was a fun listen & very engaging for all of us.
