Publisher's summary

Jack Higgins, the best-selling author of The Eagle Has Landed and Angel of Death, presents an explosive and timely thriller about the uncertain future of Hong Kong, China, and the world…

1944. Mao Tse-tung signs a secret document that could delay the Chinese takeover of Hong Kong for an additional one hundred years. But all copies of the document disappear in a plane crash.

1993. As Hong Kong prepares to be restored to China in 1997, England’s prime minister learns of the existence of Mao Tse-tung’s lost document. Former terrorist Sean Dillon is given direct orders to keep the document from coming to light – at all costs. One copy still exists, hidden in the wreckage of a plane on the bottom of a Scottish Loch. But Dillon’s not the only person searching for it. There are powerful business interests, including the Mafia, that will do anything to retain their power over Hong Kong – even if the delicate balance of world power is destroyed.

Take another thrill ride with Sean Dillon.

Another excellent Listen!

Any additional comments?

Another fantastic listen by Higgins! Just love his style and his characters. Dillon is a great character. Michael Page is a wonderful reader. I am a huge George Guidall fan, but I am quickly becoming a Page fan. He easily switches from character to character flawlessly. Book to book he is extremely good at maintaining each character and their style of speaking and attitude. Great book, great plot, always had me on the edge of my seat! :Looking forward to the next book in the series! Thanks Jack!

Interesting plot though some aspects could be bett

Would you consider the audio edition of On Dangerous Ground to be better than the print version?

No. Both are good :)

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I would use less characters. and more movement of the story to be based more on intrigue. It read well. But it was more about mundane characters and events rather than an old plan that had gone down years ago.. somehow the story i felt was not one of his better one's

What about Michael Page’s performance did you like?

Oh he is amazing.. I love the way he emulates the females voices.... all parts of it was superb !!!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Waiting to surface ...

Any additional comments?

I love his books . and the Irish influence it has. Truly fascinating work.

Higgins Keeps You Engaged

I like the characters in the Higgins books. This is no exception. The action is very quick. Characters are well developed. Plots very believable.

not far fetched in the least.

I read thunder point in high school and stumbled across this on Audible listen to on Dangerous Ground and became an immediate Jack Higgins Sean Dillon fan. Sean Dillon is not in any way unbelievable.
