We listened to the first book, My Side of the Mountain and loved it. This book, however, was so much richer—which is hard to believe I’m saying because the first book was SO good. The first book is more about life on the mountain and this book was a compelling and developing story. Many falconry and trail-finding details. We listened with our 4, 5, and 8 year olds. Everyone loved it!

I loved it all sow much It was the best book ever and I almost cried wen they sed that fruitfully was dead I felt so many emotions at once.😊

What stood out the most is how they had to venture to find Alice

The only thing I would say negatively about this story, is that the main character can be some what selfish and almost more childish than he was in the first book but maybe that was on purpose....oh well. Didn't bother me too much.
