Have you ever wanted to dive into a book and yet dreaded it too? That was the position I found myself in with Operation Bailey Birthday. Knowing that this book concludes one of my top series of all time, I knew was it was going to be bitter sweet.
This book was everything I hoped it would be and so much more. At the end although I was sad, I was left with a smile of my face. It was so great to be back with the Bailey family, to me it’s like coming home. Piper Rayne write characters that are so easy to relate to and they are not afraid to show them in all their flawed glory, it makes the stories that much more realistic.
The entire Bailey Clan are in Lake Starlight and as expected there were laughs, some drama and a whole lot of love as the family prepare for Grandma Dori’s 90th birthday celebrations. Going in to a Piper Rayne book, you know that there is going to be humour, that’s a given, but this book had so much love, laughter, emotion and vulnerable moments and was so well written I was brought to tears.
I was hooked from the first to the last chapter and this was a fitting end to a wonderful series and one that I won’t forget easily. There was nothing I didn’t love about this book. Tanya Erby and Tim Paige did a fabulous job with their narration and nailed it.

I absolutely loved that Piper capped this series off with a word from Grandma D! This book was everything I wanted to hear about after the series concluded! I can’t wait for the kids’ series to develop

Grandma’s Ninetieth Birthday is the occasion for the entire family to gather in celebration. Although a surprise party Grandma is pulling all the strings and another attempt at match making is in the party plans. Great series and performance. Recommend.

Love the Bailey Family

I was anticipating and dreading this book in equal measure. I could not wait to read the next book in the Bailey Family series, but was so sad this is the last book. Thankfully, I don't think we'll have to say goodbye to them completely based on what Piper Rayne has announced is next.

Operation Bailey Birthday was a little bit different in such an amazing way. It still follows the family, but this time each chapter is told from the POV of one of the children of the original nine couples. I really enjoyed getting to know this new generation of Baileys and seeing their parents and Great Grandma Dori through their eyes.

This family and their stories stole my heart and made Piper Rayne one of my favorite author duos. I cannot recommend this book and series enough!

A fabulous novella!

This was a great wrap up to all the Bailey children, but it would’ve been nice to have different narrators for different characters. As it swings from one character to the other while, I’m in my car I have trouble remembering he’s supposed to be speaking. It would’ve made the story from good to great to fantastic.
