Publisher's summary

Ordinary People, Extraordinary Power gives a strong case for the apostolic culture as a criterion for change in the church today. Believers need to be activated to demonstrate the kingdom through healing, deliverance, prophecy, and preaching. The apostolic culture includes worship, deliverance, apostolic teams, prophecy, ordaining, establishing, pioneering, evangelizing, prayer, teaching, helps, governments, missions, healing, the Gifts of the Spirit, holiness, impartation, and church government. All of these will be discussed in this book in order to help leaders and believers move in apostolic power and authority.

A Most Excellent & Timely Book!!!

This should be required reading for all church staff. It's what God's doing in these last days of the fullfilment of scripture. Let's get in on it.

The importance and operations of apostolic teams

I read and listened to a book on the apostolic anointing by this same author. When given the opportunity to listen to another of his books, I thought this one sounded interesting, since it had to do with God using ordinary people.

The content itself is really useful. It talks not only about apostles, but also prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers (as mentioned in Ephesians 4:11-16) and other supporting offices that make up what the author refers to as an apostolic team. He tells what they do, how they operate and what God requires of them to not only build the local church but enlarge the kingdom of God. He refers frequently to both Old and New Testament scriptures for concepts and examples of the principles he shared.

The narrator of this book makes it hard to take in what the author says. His voice is rather monotone and a bit nasally. My brain tended to want to tune out the voice, which made it hard to concentrate on the words. It would be better if someone with a more resonant voice were reading the book aloud, so it’s more pleasant to listen to.

If you are looking for a taste of how the Church can return to its intended modus operandi and can get past the narrator’s grating voice, then this is a fair resource. If you really want to get into the material, then an ebook or hard copy edition would probably be better.
