About this listen

Elena -- I lost my parents as a kid, but a reverend and his wife took me in. They were good to me, even if there had never been many hugs. Then they started pushing me to marry a man I didn’t want, so I ran. I should have known the moment I walked through the clubhouse doors of the Devil’s Fury my life would never be the same. I just didn’t count on a bad boy biker being the one to finally make me feel wanted.

Outlaw -- The Devil’s Fury are my family, my brothers, but I’m not the same man I was years ago. I’m scarred and broken, or so I’d thought. The little Latina who came to the clubhouse, then pulled out a damn book to read had my attention right away. When someone tries to hurt her, I know that I’ll keep her safe. In fact, I’ll just keep her. She’s awakened a part of me I’d thought I’d lost. Didn’t count on her bringing trouble with her, or nearly losing her, but she’s mine and I will fight for her to the very end.

Good continuation

to the series. There is crossover from other series that for me I would have liked to have read/listened to before but it's not entirely necessary. I enjoyed this story, the FMC backstory was lighter than the previous whish was nice an I really liked Outlaw's story. There were some inconsistencies from the first one's characters but overall it's a good story with good narration.

Bookworm and the Biker

I have to say that this read int he beginning like my diary..lmbco!!!! Elena was not only sheltered but buried until she walked into the Devil's Fury. I love how Outlaw had his eye on her from the moment she stepped in..not just because he saw her as his but because she was sooooooout of place.

The storyline was unique and a great continuation of MC falling in love and showing truly that the addage is tru- birds of feather flock together.

As asalways Umi does not only the job but on a level that I have come to love and expect. Looking forward to more of the MC!!!

Outlaw and Elena

I love MC stories! As expected there are some dark moments and potential triggers in the story. Elena’s parents died when she was young. She was swept up in the system, ending up as a foster kid for a preacher and his wife. She grew up very sheltered, and in a strict parental permission required home. They were pushing her to marry an older man which she had no desire to do so, she ended up running. That was the best thing she could have done! She landed on her first night with Devil’s Fury. One thing leads to another, turns out the preacher and other church members were crooks and sold women and girls into horrible situations. The Devil’s Fury learns of this, and takes it into their own hands. The story was pretty good. It moved along at a good pace. The characters were interesting and well developed. The narration was well done. I received a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving my review.

Excellent Story

Outlaw thought his life would be one he lived alone but coming to Elena's aid at their club changed it. When Elena decided to make a run from her foster parents, she had no idea the repercussions or the aftermath it would have. Her revelations about her life led Outlaw to take a closer look and what he found opened up a past the club thought was closed. Will it come back and cause danger for her and will Outlaw and his MC be able to keep her and the club safe? This action-packed story draws you in and keeps you glued to the story.

"I was hers; she was mine."

"I was hers; she was mine." A wonderful HEA for Outlaw. He was badly injured in a previous book. Now scarred, broken and hands crippled, he finds Elena. So happy for them.

I was gifted the Audible version of this book from the author through Story Origin. Umi Markkanan's narration is so enjoyable to listen to. She brings life to these characters. I even love her male voice for Outlaw. Very believable. She's the best. 5 stars plus for her as well.

outlaw

I love all the MC stories. Elena's parents died when she was young and she became a foster child. Outlaw(noah) was a hacker but had gotten severally injured when another mc groups member old lady got taken. This story was a lot lighter then then some of the other stories but still could trigger people. I love all of the Harley Wylde's books i have listened too. I also love the narrator voice. Umi Markkanen is amazing.

I really enjoyed it!

I really enjoyed this story of protective Outlaw (Noah), member of the Devil’s Fury MC, and “his” virgin Elena, who fled from the house of her former foster parents because she did not want to be married away to a man she did not like let alone want.
While Outlaw rescues Elena, and thought he was too damaged to ever have himself a woman, she turns out to be all he ever needed. A great match!

This review is based on the audiobook. I liked the narrator, Umi Markkanen.

Short and action-packed

"Outlaw" by Harley Wylde is a gripping and intense romance novel that delves into the world of motorcycle clubs, danger, and redemption. As the second book in the Devil's Fury MC series, it follows the story of Outlaw, a hardened member of the Devil's Fury Motorcycle Club, who is haunted by his past and struggling to find his place in the world.

Elena ends up at the Devil’s Fury club house, after running away from home. Her parents intended to marry her off to a man much older than her. She has lived an isolated life, with little to no experience of the outside world, especially interactions with boys. Her innocence attracts Outlaw’s attention and, after she is drugged by someone in the MC entourage, he becomes her protector. He will share his house with her, until the culprit is identified and punished. There is more to the story and our main characters have to navigate, not only their feelings, but also a web of connections to dangerous men.

The dangers of living an isolated life or the unfortunate consequences of raising a child in an overprotective environment are clearly highlighted in the story. Elena kept hidden from her foster parents her attempts at finding out what is like to live outside a religious household. Still she was not ready for what she found at the MC house.

The self-discovery journey that both our characters take is described in detail, with the author doing an excellent job of expressing what they feel at every moment. We see them evolve: Elena becomes sure of herself and her desires, while Outlaw learns what is like to trust and love.

From romance perspective, what Outlaw and the heroine have is steamy and passionate, with plenty of chemistry and tension to keep readers hooked. Her lack of experience is compensated by her curiosity and desire to learn how to please him. Outlaw’s body has not been the same since an incident in his past – he’s lost part of the function in his fingers and has issues … performing (you know… “performing”). Elena wakes up this part in him and his protective side as well. She quickly learns the ins and outs of MC life and finds comfort in Outlaw’s arms.

The author does an excellent job of portraying the gritty and often brutal world of motorcycle clubs, while also highlighting the sense of brotherhood and loyalty that binds the members together. The story is action packed. There are a lot of things going on and because of the short length, it feels too fast paced. The elements from the other books in the series are added in a subtle way, enough to keep us wanting more from this world.

I’ve listened to the audio version and I must say that Umi Markkanen did an excellent job capturing our MCs’ emotions in her interpretation. I had no problem differentiating between characters, even when multiple females were in the same scene for example. Congratulations!

Overall, "Outlaw" is a thrilling and captivating read that will appeal to fans of motorcycle club romances and those who enjoy stories of redemption and second chances. Harley Wylde has crafted a compelling tale that is both heart-wrenching and exhilarating.
