Publisher's summary

—Southern Historical Fiction at Its Best... A Visit to the Rural South that will Bless Your Heart—

—VOLUME 5 ANTHOLOGY (6 volumes in all). Faith & Family Friendly—

- Persimmon Jam (novella 1): The thing about raising pups is that there is no stopping point. Sort of like the chicken and the egg. Even if you love the job, it can turn into its own sort of prison. Just about the time you get it under control, something weird happens. But our Paula is a ‘can-do’ gal, and it just takes a bit of thought, good planning, and maybe an ad in the Classified column of the Wishbone Echo.

- Monday Girl (novella 2): Monday Girl was not really her name, but the town knew her that way. Her mom, knowing how smart she was at school, decided she could work one day a week for others and help with the family expenses. She could do anything from pulling weeds to washing clothes to child care to making lunch for old grannies. She went along with it until she accidentally met a fellow with wonderful ideas who needed her help to turn them into successes. The main trouble was competition from another girl for his attention, and that girl was almost two years old and shared his last name. That didn’t stop Monday Girl. She just had to get that ‘other girl’ on her side.
