As a nurse, she thought she'd seen everything possible. Until one night, when a patient is brought in who's been attacked by some kind of animal and dies on the operating table.

While the animal attack isn't completely unbelievable, she's shocked when the deceased patient, Brochan Braxley, miraculously shows up at her place. Ailsa will discover that her world is nothing as she thought it was.

When the people after Brochan come after her, she's forced to run with him. Can Ailsa stop her growing feelings for Brochan, or is she willing to risk everything for a man she barely knows?

Not what I was expecting...

It was even better!

Unexpected circumstances bring Ailsa and Brochan together. I love the interactions between them, and the growing chemistry.

A real winner by Lexy Timms. She’s really outdone herself with great characters in an original story.

Nathaniel Keller’s Scottish accent will make you swoon. I seriously can’t wait to listen to more from him.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Incredible story and narration!! 5+++++ stars

Pack Run, an Audiobook by Lexy Timms is the first book in the Highlander Wolf series…and it is a PHENOMENAL story that I couldn’t stop listening to!!! It’s the story of Alisa and Brochan. Wow…don’t even know how to start…this story was sooooooooooo good!!! She’s an ER nurse and he’s a shifter who was outnumbered in an attack by other shifters. He ends up dying and she is devasted. Until…he comes to her home. He wants her help retrieving his belongings so he can return to Scotland.

What follows is a wild, unexpectedly romantic, dangerous journey back to his homeland. She’s targeted now… So much happens in this story, it was completely engulfing me….I LOVED THIS STORY!!!!! Ends in a cliffhanger…and I’m already on to the next one!!!

This story was MASTERFULLY narrated by Nathaniel Keller….his sultry Scottish accent lent so much credibility to the story and the characters…that I can’t imagine completing this series with any other narrator. He is PERFECT!!!! He accurately depicts each character flawlessly….adding a depth to the story I couldn’t get otherwise!!!

I am volunteering to leave a review for an Advance Reader Copy of this Audiobook.

Action Packed with a Hint of Romance

There is not a dull moment in this book. It starts out with a dramatic and unusual assassination attempt, moves to a drama-filled ER, a series of intruders, a car chase, and much more. Throughout, strong character development leaves hints of romantic attraction while maintaining the action and drama.
In addition to an action-packed storyline, the narrator does an excellent job. From a warm Scottish accent to conveying tension and fear, Keller pulled me into the story, completely. I look forward to listening to more by both Timms and Keller.

Silly story

So the hero’s parents were Scottish, but he was raised in the states. Why did he have a Scottish accent? There was too much talking. Not enough action. Most of the story took place in airports or on planes while traveling. The narrator had a lovely voice.
