Olivia Mendoza's venture into her new job has taken her to places that she never imagined. From meeting her handsome and brilliant boss, Dr. Donovan Vaughn, and learning of his research, she finds herself moving from parallel universe to parallel universe with him. Along the way, she begins to discover things about each world, the man she's with, and herself. They first landed in a world of ice and snow where things started to unravel. Now they want to go home but are nowhere near it.
Book two takes Olivia and Donnie to a world made out of paper. They are far from home and desperate to connect with someone. However, they soon learn of the history behind this world and the great leader that created it. Suddenly, Olivia is on the spot as everyone sees her as an incarnation of that leader. She struggles to accept this while Donnie begins to feel left out. They are soon separated again and the world of paper is in danger of coming undone. Can they find each other and save this world before the changes affect everything...including their own universe?

Hard to Get Into the story
I got this book via audiobook boom. I found it difficult to listen to this story. I did not listen to book one so was confused on several parts. I guess once I listen to book 1 perhaps I can come back and finish this one. I cannot give a positive or negative review because I could not finish the book. Hopefully, life will give me a chance to buy book 1 and listen to it so I can listen to this one with a true understanding.

Interesting and creative audiobook
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I am more of a sci-fi fan and this audiobook is more of a sci-fi romance, but it AMAZED me! The author was so creative and imaginative that I highly enjoyed listening to his vision of the Paperworld. Story is very well put together and the characters are developed and loveable. I am not a native English speaker so a good narration means everything to me, and Mr. Jack Nolan did a great job narrating this audiobook. His voice is crystal clear and makes this experience whole much better. I LOVED this book!

Other Worlds Travellers
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
This audiobook was a very long one, it was a bit confusing to start as I had not read the book 1 in the series. Yes, if you enjoy getting your money's worth and you enjoy paranormal type books you will be satisfied with this book.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Paper Hearts?
When Doctor Donny stepped into the red light and was sent back home. Also when Olivia discovers who she really is.
Which character – as performed by Jack Nolan – was your favorite?
I think I liked Donny's voice the best.

A Very Creative Author..
Any additional comments?
The world(s) that the author has created is vivid and unique.
The story centers around Donnie, the male lead, and Olivia, the female lead, who have been
transported to an alternate world.
During their journey, Donnie and Olivia's relationship grows and they also learn about the
different threats against the different alternate worlds.
There are twists and turns that all contribute to an overall, Intriguing Read.
Jack Nolan did well with the narration.
