What a pleasure to listen to the story of Pat Nixon, what she endured for so long and her resilience, the lasted out as long as possible. I find it sickening that no president or first lady attended her funeral. This woman lived a heroic life in the midst of nonstop adversity. May she rest in peace.

Very little has been written on our First Lady Pat Nixon. I have waited for this. I have not been disappointed. Wonderful Read. Beautiful story by her family who unquestionably loved her. Thank you

Julie does a great job of giving us insight into her mothers personality and life. Additionally, all of the accounts were very well researched and she put a lot of time into getting quotes from other people who came into their lives.

It was an enjoyable listen to hear about Pat's early life (although it was sad) and how she ended up marrying Richard Nixon. Like so many of us, they started out in life with big dreams and high hopes.

Pat was on indomitable spirit and cared about other people.

I am not a political person so I had no opinion on the politics.

In this as well as other biographies I have read so many times the news media never tells the real story. It makes me sick to my stomach how they can whip people (their audience) into a frenzy to the point that they lose all perspective and so easily pass judgment on others basically ruining their lives just so they can sell a story.

I admire Julie for writing so very well this story about her family. She put a lot of heart into it. Jennie did an awesome job of reading. She emphasized different voices, which is not an easy thing to do.

Although it was a sad story in parts, it was also a story of a family who stuck together and held each other up during the hard times. They also got to live quite an exciting life and got to experience some amazing things.

A Wonderfully Told Story

The reader could have edited out the mistakes in telling and not had verbal slip ups. This is supposed to be professional after all.

Phenomenal book! Incredibly informative

This is a wonder book from the perspective of the writing. The narration by Jennie Eisenhower is great as well, but it is truly painful listening as it sounds like it was recorded in an empty house with no furniture or carpet. It is very tinny and and has a persistent echo.

Whoever produced and engineered this recording certainly did not to justice to the otherwise excellent book about Mrs. Nixon by her daughter.

Well written, horrible audio
