About this listen

For the first time in his life, professional bodyguard Atticus Kodiak is laying low with Alena Cizkova, aka Drama, once the world's premiere assassin and now the target of assassination herself. Atticus and Alena are wounded, alone, and on the run from what they've done, what they haven't done, and what they'll need to do to survive. From Eastern Europe to Geneva to the Montana wilderness, they're being hunted across the world by someone more powerful than the mob, the FBI, or the CIA—and if they don't guess who it is and how to stop him, they're history.

Started slow but..

It picked up and was engaging and I needed to know who did it!
Good twist at end.

" The Echolon Vendata" on steroids.

First thing that captures you is the narrator, hes no Scott Brick but he's close. The book itself is very well written and the characters keep you sitting in your car waiting for the chapter your listening to end. Drama is the calmest, coolest killer since John Rain.

Patriot and Drama must be at 1.25X

Where does Patriot Acts rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Great listen and good writing!
Beware: USE 1.25X speed to listen. Thanks to new downloads, you must listen at this speed to get the fast impact of this great adventure. When other reviews were written, 1x speed killed the story. This is a keeper and so much better than book #2.This was inventive and it had many assassin plans, thoughts and strategy that kept you glued to this listen.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Patriot Acts?

When Patriot and Drama figure out how to make the big villain come out of hiding! WoW, I didn't see that one coming.

Have you listened to any of Jonathan Davis’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Well, I am his most devoted fan. I have purchased so many of his reads just because he has recorded the book. He is EXCELLENT in this one. He does female voices very well and still keeps his macho image. My fave Sandra Brown's Mean Streak

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I was impressed and fascinated by the author's knowledge of many deeds, and how he explained them in such an entertaining fashion.
I had purchased both #1 & #2, but made the mistake of listening to #2 first at 1x speed. I will now have to re-listen at 1.25X as that makes all the difference to these older recordings. What a supreme difference it makes to the author writing. It makes the story flow as fast as the author intended.

Any additional comments?

Note: if you have not tried out 1.25X speed, for your mysteries, you will be pleasantly surprised. I have started to re-listen to many of my older books, and this new speed makes them all EXCELLENT to hear again. Enjoy
