Best book I've listened to! Story had me from "go"

Would you listen to Pegasus again? Why?

Yes, I would, because I felt like "I was" Justin Thorne, & continually wanted to see if the character in the book would approach the various problems the same way I would.

What other book might you compare Pegasus to and why?

Not necessarily a book, but it reminded a great deal of the series "Firefly".

Have you listened to any of Theo Holland’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have listened to several of the books he recorded for "Sight Into Sound", & each production gets better.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Beware who you work for! Things aren't always as they seem.

Any additional comments?

The story grabbed me from the start. I really cared about the characters. The voice over work was flawless. Can't wait for more Justin Thorne adventures!

Great sci fi story

I think this would be Sci Fi. it was really good. Interesting story and characters. Enough science to be believable, but not too much to be confusing.

Who knew a trip to the moon would bring enemies

This book starts out explaining how Justin became a pilot. Although some of the science facts the author uses kind of lost and bored me at times, I did find a lot of it very interesting. Some of it drug out and was a little slow but it was setting the background and introducing the characters. Once on the moon I found that it picked up pace and was very good. I have to say I think at times the characters were a little too laid back about what was happening.....I mean I think I would have went into panic mode. Overall, it was a truly fantastic adventure that made me smile and at one point cry, all the while keeping me intrigued. I agree with the other reviewers that it made me think of the Firefly series in ways. The narrator brought these characters to life and takes you on an adventure to the moon and back that you won't soon forget. The plan the author invented for the characters to get back to earth was genius. I'm not sure if it would have really worked, but after it is explained by the character you sure would be convinced it would. Overall I felt it was a great balance between author and narrator that really gave an interesting and exciting twist to a trip to the moon.

An Adventure You Must Experience!

Would you listen to Pegasus again? Why?

A rollercoaster of an adventure you won't soon forget. Keeping you on the edge of your seat, Ken Cressman makes you feel as though you are right there with each of the characters in this non stop, wild and exciting undertaking.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Pegasus?

The clever plan used to get back to earth after their spacecraft was disabled.

What does Theo Holland bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Theo Holland brings this story to life with his multitude of voice characterizations. He made it much more engaging and entertaining than if I had just read the book. Very well done!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes....Mainly because this story kept you on the edge of your seat and you couldn't wait to see what was coming around the next corner.

A great adventure that happens to be a Sci-Fi novel

A great story that reminds me of the Firefly TV series, mixing elements of science fictions and classical western novels.

The novel is action driven and the characters continue to develop though the book.

Theo Holland uses voices and accents in the dialogue. The narration is well paced and he really brings the story to life.

To Infinity and Beyond...

I had mixed feeling about this listen. On one hand the premise and the story itself was pretty good, but I think after reading the preview I had high expectations for it. On the other hand I really, really wanted more. I mean, frequent trips to the moon, anti-gravity and a post-apocalyptic setting what more could you ask for? Please don't get me wrong I really did like the storyline and found many things about this story interesting while rooting for our characters, but this story was just missing that something special that would have made it a 5 star book. The last hour or so of the book was fantastic and I could not stop listening however at times getting to that last hour was dragging. Especially during the scientific explainations but some were really good and added value to the story while others found me wanting to fast forward through. Our main character was well rounded and faced with some difficult decisions. I enjoyed him and thought he was well performed. I really wanted to find out more about our other crew members on the ship so hopefully we will get a look into their lives in a later book. The narration was done pretty good. It kept me engaged for most of the book and the narrator provided different voices for each character. As a male narrator I am sure doing female voices is difficult but he did a pretty good job. Personally, I think there could have been a little more excitement used in some scenes where there was more going on. Overall, this was a positive listening experience and I will check out the next adventure that Justin will be on. That will be a crutial turning point in the series. I was provided a free copy of this production from Audiobook Worm Promotions. This in no way affected my opinion or review of this title.
