About this listen

In Rosewood, Pennsylvania, four perfect-looking girls aren't nearly as perfect as they seem.

Aria can't resist her forbidden ex. Hanna is on the verge of losing her BFF. Emily is freaking out over a simple kiss. And Spencer can't keep her hands off anything that belongs to her sister.

Lucky me. I know these pretty little liars better than they know themselves. But it's hard keeping all of their secrets to myself. They better do as I say...or else!

Best Yet

This was my favorite so far and I have just finished book 5 of the Pretty Little Liars series. “A” really steps up the game in this book. I am 26 so I am not a teenager, who is the audience I think these books were aimed at, but I love them anyways. These books have been like a great gossip magazine for me, you know the kinds you love to read but hide from everyone else. The people in these books never learn from their mistakes, are rich spoiled brats, and you find the parents just as bad as the kids (most of the time) but yet you can’t wait to see what will happen next. The story revolves around four girls in high school who are being tormented with secrets from their past by the mysteries “A”. I can’t explain why I like these books I just do they pull you in. Don’t expect some huge deep story line these are shallow gossip at its best, and I’m loving them.

Repetitive

I am really enjoying these books with one exception: the first 8-10 chapters of each book are spent summarizing the previous book. It wouldn't be bad if it was the first 4 chapters--one for each character. But this won't prevent me from finishing the series. I'm addicted!!!

LOVED IT!

I loved this book! The series is amazing and I've probably listened to each one at least 3 times! Sara Shepard is an amazing author and I look forward to reading everything she has ever written! If you haven't read these books then start now. They are intense and full of mystery and they constantly make you want to know what will happen next.

Excellent

I am amazed how different the books and the show are, however, I like the uniqueness between the two.

Only one real annoyance...

Any additional comments?

This book is well written and performed. My only real complaint is that the reader mispronounced the word "Moët," which is easy to do.

Pretty good

Watching the series and listening to the audiobooks is a similar het different experience. The way Emily’s family reacts to her being lesbian is deplorable. It makes me angry how her family could be so closed minded to their daughter. The parents in this series are a-holes. All of them. I liked them much better in the tv series. Except for Hannah’s dad. I didn’t like him in the tv series either.

And the Golden Orchid winner is...

... Aria and Sean plot line. As Aria has been my leäst favourite character when I started watching the show like 10 years ago, she's absolutely carrying the book. On the other hand, Spencer's line was always my favourite in the show and here it got way too boring. If I ever hear Golden Orchid again, my ears will start to bleed. Most of her chapters were the same.

Overall, though, I really liked the book and I'm happy that it was Hanna to figure things out (makes the best sense anyway) and I'm looking forward to the next books.

By the third book, I got kinda used to the narrator's voice, yet we all know it could've been chosen better.
