Setting Our Youth Up for Success

As my kids get into their preteens and begin to have an interest in buying things they like and saving for things they want, this book proved so useful in providing suggestions in how to help them navigate their financial literacy and enhance the management of their money.

I presented some tips around saving to my son one night and he excitedly got out his cash, trying to divide his savings and spending money to better understand what he should put away. It empowered him to be the one in charge of his money, to look towards the future and not just at his immediate needs.

I value the way this book was presented as a handbook with interactive activities and talking prompts to engage our youth to understand the power they hold when managing their money in the right way.

Financial Literacy that Teens Can Relate to

I loved listening to Personal Finance for Teenagers! This audiobook is perfect for helping teens get ready to handle money in the real world. It takes tough money topics and makes them easy to understand. The examples are relatable and kept me interested from beginning to end.

This book covers all the basics that young people need to know. It explains ways to make extra money with fun side hustles and how to make your money grow using compound interest. I also found the tips on spotting scams and using credit cards wisely super helpful. These are things that most schools don’t teach.

The narrator’s friendly voice makes it fun and easy to listen to, which is great for teens who might feel nervous about learning money skills. By the end, I felt sure this book could help any teen build solid money habits and learn useful skills. I highly recommend this audiobook for any teen—or parent—who wants an awesome guide to money!

Learning The Money Game

I just finished listening to "Personal Finance for Teenagers." I got this book for my grandson because, as I spent time with him, I realized that he didn't know or understand the financial world. This book is easy to read and understand. It covers the basics with a fun spin on money, which is exactly what I was looking for. Clardy covers creative ways to earn extra cash and introduces risk-free stock market simulations. This book has many tools you can use and have fun with. One takeaway was the "Credit Card Wisdom" and "Scam-Busting skills." It is great that the author shares tips to be safe and smart. The quote that stood out was, "The best money books for teens are the ones that they will read." That’s precisely what this book does; it keeps teens hooked with relatable examples, humor, and hands-on activities that make complex concepts easy to grasp. I enjoyed this book, and so did my grandson. I highly recommend it.

Educational AND Entertaining!

Such a great book on a much-needed topic for teens. The tone and delivery make it entertaining, so my teen stayed engaged. Big bonus. All of the essentials are covered, but I particularly like that investing and watching money grow over time is addressed. While it's a book geared toward teens, I'd argue twenty-somethings would benefit from it easily as well. Definitely recommend grabbing this for your teen to take a listen!

A Must-Read for Teens Building Financial Savvy

"Personal Finance for Teenagers" is a valuable guide for young adults starting their financial journey. This book offers practical advice in a friendly, relatable way, making concepts like budgeting, goal-setting, and saving accessible to teens. One standout example is the 50/30/20 budgeting method, which helps readers break down their spending and understand how to prioritize needs, wants, and savings effectively.
Each chapter ends with engaging activities, reinforcing the material and encouraging teens to apply what they’ve learned in real life. I also appreciated the emphasis on building an emergency fund and setting financial goals, which are crucial skills for lifelong financial security.
This book is a fantastic resource for teens and their parents, providing a strong foundation for future financial independence. Highly recommended for families looking to equip young adults with the skills to navigate today’s financial landscape.

Excellent personal finance introduction for teens.

I'm going to share this book with my son! Although I've discussed all of this with him myself, children often need another source of information that agrees with their dad's! Anyway, this is an excellent introduction for any teen to become a financially responsible and knowledgeable person, especially in this day and age! I'd recommend this book to any teen or college student!
