About this listen
Discover why pickleball is America’s fastest-growing sport – start playing in just 5 minutes… all while forging close family bonds and building unforgettable memories!
Are you looking for an exciting game that your whole family can take part in – regardless of their age or fitness level?
Keen to play a ball sport that doesn’t require you to fork out hundreds on expensive equipment?
One that doesn’t take hours of lessons or put as much strain on your body as tennis and many other racquet sports do?
Then you may have already stumbled upon your ideal sport: pickleball.
Pickleball is a fast-paced sport that hones the quickness of your hand and your reflexes, but it has the added bonus of being strategic – which makes it a little bit like playing chess on a court!
Anyone can play it – even those who’ve never played tennis or picked up a paddle or racquet in their lives.
Because the court is much smaller than tennis courts, it’s ultra-sociable – you remain close to your opponents throughout the game.
And if you’ve always found sports like tennis to be too challenging… or to require too much running around… know that this limit doesn’t apply in pickleball.
Nothing’s stopping you but yourself – it’s time to get out there and play!
To get started, this book has all the information you need to play competitive, action-packed games with your family from Day One.
If you’re ready to spend quality time with your family while playing an exciting, sociable game, then scroll up and click “Add to Cart” now!

Hilarious, fascinating, and a roller coaster of dizzying, historical what-ifs, Napoleon's Hemorrhoids is a potpourri for serious historians and casual history buffs. In one of Phil Mason's many revelations, you'll learn that Communist jets were two minutes away from opening fire on American planes during the Cuban missile crisis, when they had to turn back as they were running out of fuel. You'll discover that before the Battle of Waterloo, Napoleon's painful hemorrhoids prevented him from mounting his horse to survey the battlefield.

WHO KNEW?
Pickleball is one of those arcane words I’ve heard tossed about in recent days that really had no meaning for me.
Enter “Pickleball Basics” by author James Stuart and wow, the curtain really gets pulled back!
I was surprised to learn how economical it is to get into this family-friendly sport, and that it’s far more than just a physical activity. The strategies involved will keep everyone engaged and the smaller court means a far more intimate environment, without all the constant running and physical challenges other racquet sports demand.
I haven’t listened to any other books on pickleball, but it’s difficult to imagine a more complete, thorough, engaging, or informative book on the subject. Quite literally, everything one needs to know is right here, and it’s all delivered by Luke Oldham’s great narration.
Ready to make family time and time with friends special? Give this great book a listen and you can be playing today!
Highly recommended

A Paddle of Connection!
In James Stuart's "Pickleball Basics," I stumbled upon a delightful guide that not only demystifies the game but also weaves in the essence of family bonding. Chapter 6, "Overcoming Obstacles: Tackling Tricky Serves and More," became a compass for navigating the challenges on the pickleball court. As a beginner, I resonated with the strategies shared, and the anecdotes sprinkled throughout the chapter brought a sense of camaraderie, turning the obstacles into stepping stones for improvement. Luke Oldham's narration adds an extra layer of enthusiasm to the book.
