About this listen
I’m a pixie.
If there was a level zero of supernaturals, I’d be in the sub-basement level.
I’m not particularly strong or fast or crazy smart, and my pixie magic is limited to little things that any basic human street magician can do.
Which means that pack of coyote shifters that’s hunting me? Yeah, I’m gonna need help with them.
I do the only sane thing I can do. I flee to Moonhaven Cove, and beg help from the local PNW council and the town’s sheriff. Which seemed like such a well thought-out plan . . . until the council lets Hux and his creepy pack of coyotes in.
So now, in between dodging homicidal coyote shifters, I’m working with the sexy star elf at his comedy club, helping the unluckiest leprechaun ever avoid carnivorous office equipment, hanging out with a genie, and becoming BFFs with the lion shifter sheriff who is apparently strangely attached to his strawberry yogurt. I don’t have time to fall in love.
But when Rhys looks at me, I forget all of the reasons why starting something with him would be a very bad idea. He’s tender, kind, flirty, and fun. He makes me laugh. And before long . . . I can’t imagine my life without him.
Trouble, thy name is Paradise Hart. Pixie Problems is part of my new Moonhaven Cove series. Each book in the series builds off the previous books, but still stands on its own. If you’re looking for clean paranormal romance with swoony kisses, snappy dialogue, funny and heartwarming characters, and plenty of suspense and action, you’ve found the right place. Welcome to Moonhaven Cove.

I can turn into a housecat. It’s a fun magic, except in a world filled with vampires and werewolves, it doesn’t exactly make me a powerhouse. Instead, the supernatural community has classified me as an outcast, which means one thing: picking on me is open season all day, every day. The local fae are the worst of all, and it’s during one of their regular “capture the cat-girl” sessions that I shift into my cat form and meet HIM for the first time.

By night, they fight in a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse. By day, they are friendly next-door neighbors. Neither of them know that their alter egos are archenemies. I’ve spent my life training in the family business of slaying vampires, but I’m tired of all the death. I want to prove we slayers can help society, not just break it. Someone paid the vampire king’s creepy son to turn me into one of the bitey undead. I’m not hanging about to find out who or why. The vampires want me to stay with them for one hundred years of indentured servitude but I have this thing about following orders so I ran from the streets of London to the wilds of Alaska. I have an eidetic memory and a can-do attitude. I can-do anything to get away from the vampire king. So when the Sheriff of Portlock, a hidden paranormal town, invites me to be his assistant, I say sure thing. It beats servitude hands down.

A dragon, a fae, and a pixie walk into a bookstore… Sounds like a joke, right? For me, it's just an ordinary day on the job. At least, it has been ever since my aunt disappeared and left me with her store, her cat, and a whole lot of unanswered questions. My whole life, I've been told to stay hidden. Pretend I'm human. Sell books, drink tea, and never betray the truth of what I am. But it turns out my aunt had secrets, and a lot of those secrets seem to involve me ending up dead. To survive, I'm going to have to reckon with my past, even if it means placing my trust in a total stranger.

What’s a broke tea witch to do when she’s about to lose her beloved café? No idea, but chugging magic mojitos and drunk-summoning the Devil was definitely the wrong call. Now, I’m stuck with the house guest from Hell—literally—and we couldn’t be more opposite: a homebody who brews healing teas and reads romance novels to her cats versus a sexy-as-sin playboy with a pitchfork tattoo on his butt and a fondness for public day-drinking. In the nude. Ergo, the pitchfork discovery.

Great continuation of the Moon haven Cove series
I think my favorite part of this book is Dice's magic, it's definitely something I wish were real! I mean to have someone just look at you and not only know what's wrong and know how to help would be amazing.
I love reading Bearly Yours on Kindle Unlimited and can't wait for it do come to Audible!

Unique
This was a fun read. It had unique characters and an interesting plot. I’m sure I missed a few things since this is part of a series and this is the only book I’ve read, but I didn’t feel like I was lost.
The narrator was great- my only complaint was that she didn’t change her voice much between the main characters so sometimes I was a little lost on who was speaking (the girl or the boy).

Below average
I liked the first book in the series. This book is a muddled mess. No rationale is given for much of the plot points. Important things happen off the page. So much doesn't make sense. Why does she not use her wings to get away from attackers when she is outside? As for the narration, it isn't bad, but it isn't great. This narrator doesn't do a particularly good job of creating different voices for the different characters. The whole narration comes off as bland. However, that may be partly due to the material.
