Enlightening, Thought-provoking, Enjoyable Truth!

I don’t write reviews, but will make an exception for this highly informative book. It is just bursting with amazing facts and analogies about food and its impact on our bodies, and presents “the why” behind the eating choices we should make. I really like the author’s writing style which is fun and relatable. I’m so thankful to have come across it, and enthusiastically recommend it to everyone!

Conversational and personal

The author tells his personal story in such a way that you feel like you’re sitting down with a friend at a gathering. He’s not preaching. He doesn’t shame you. Eye Opening!

This book gave me a completely different outlook on life. I too served time in the military and was relatively in the best shape of my life. At the time, I ate whatever was in front of me, and still had wash board abs. Fast forward 20+ years later, I'm around 40 pounds heavier, energy level is extremely low, and no matter how hard I workout, I can not shred the weight. I've tried various methods mentioned in this book; counting calories, eating smaller portions, fasting, and so forth. However, I never truly tried an all plant based diet; but, I'm planning to start my journey and hopefully I can be a huge success story like my shipmate as well.

Motivating to make a change

Plants Saved My Life mixes personal achievements through diet change and education and Kelley does it in an entertaining way. The audiobook has sound effects and I love that Kelley read his own story. Definitely recommend his book and content.

I like that this book broke down the vegan rationale using analogies. The book didn't try to hammer home the vegan lifestyle, but gave facts, specifics, and detailed explanations on how this lifestyle can be a component to living a healthy lifestyle.

After listening it tug at my heart its time for me to take the next step to change my eating habits while we living in the fast food world of quick eating all across the us i will look up recipes for plant base foods so i can change my life i ll start there first
