Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

It’s 1984, and life has changed beyond recognition. Airstrip One, formerly known as Great Britain, is a place where Big Brother is always watching, and nobody can hide. And in a world where love and sex are forbidden, where it’s hard to distinguish between friend and foe, he meets Julia and O’Brien and vows to rebel.

Story
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Story
In 2035, a NASA Orion spacecraft goes through an anomaly near the moon, ending in 1969. As the four astronauts try to understand what has happened, they soon realize that taking an AI iPhone from 2035 back to 1969 would drastically change the course of human history and create a new river of time. The crew commander has a special AI brain implant and seems to be the key to fixing the problem as she moves outside normal time and space. The more she tries to jump from one timeline to the next, the worse the problem gets. Then she finds out who is responsible, which is definitely not human.

Terrible, awful, really bad wrting. Good story.
The virtual voice is, a typical computer narration. The stroy has great potential. The story idea is the only reason I listened to the whole thing. The writing is truly awful. I felt like I was listening to a computer reading a middle schooler's short story. None of the characters are flushed out. In one part the daughter was simultaneously old enogh to have received the birds and bees speech twice but too young to have a frank conversation about learning her father had cheated? There's just either no character development or extremely inconsistent characters. Just so frustrating. I hope a better writer is tasked with the rewriti g of this story. It's a great sci-fi story idea.
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
