About this listen
This is the strange story of a very special bear and his insane neighbors. It tells how Edward Teddy Bear came to build tree-houses for Mr. Sanders, who disappeared after an unfortunate accident. Experiencing the loss of his boss and landlord, Edward has a mental break-down, and takes on a new name - 'Winnie T. Pooh'. Don't ask what the 'T' stands for, don't ask what 'pooh-sticks' are for, and don't bother visiting the '100 Aker Wood' unless you have honey. Actually the trees were thinned thanks to developers who consider trees to be an insurance hazard; and so the once enormous Pooh Land has been reduced to Pooh's Place, which is a recycled-rubber and wood-chip unmarked road of town-houses made from plastic to resemble the original trees. Pooh had been quite popular, but now is lesser known. In fact Pooh's Place has become a commune for older public domain characters, like Pooh's new friends Toad, Peter Rabbit, and the still owned Pattingdon (he lives secretly under this pseudonym). Even new friends have new friends like your imaginary friend (you know who). The entire twisted tale is retold by the inheritor narrator who holds no copyright or trademark for himself, Pigbear T. Pooh, Son of Piglet and Winnie T. Pooh.
