About this listen
Practical Full-Time Motorhome & RV Living Start-Up Guid
Have you dreamed about traveling the country on your own terms? Do you crave the freedom of the open road?
My husband and I have been traveling in our RV full-time for the past few years. During this time, we have learned so much about each other, about ourselves, and about how to make this lifestyle work best for us.
I can talk so much about why I cherish our life on the road. The travel has been epic, and with the opportunities that we have had, we could never have thought about them before our road trip.
We can now visit our friends and family more often and park near their residence. We no longer spend money flying across the country and booking hotels. We visit them like we are just neighbors. With limited travel time, you never get to see the people you love often. You may take even years before visiting them. But, with an RV, we have been able to visit them all and are planning on visiting them again.
Well, I can wholeheartedly state that we plan on being on the road for a much longer time. My husband and I love the life we are having in our RV and what we have gained from this journey. We plan on getting deep into this life and broadening our careers while still in the RV. We are so excited about the future and have big plans.
But before then, I cannot wait to share how much I have learned from this journey and RVs in general. It is my wish that more people get to explore this great country and have their lives changed as we have. I desire that you see the possibility of traveling all over and enjoying nature.
In this book, I will tell you all about what I have learned on our travels to make your nomadic life easier. This book is broken into three parts: All About RVs for the Absolute Beginner, RV Life for Novices, and 101+ RV Hacks for Everyone.
Part One:
- My life story in an RV
- Everything you would ever want to know about RVs but were afraid to ask
- History
- Economy
- Demographics
- Why people use RVs
- Types of RVs
- Cost of RVs
- RV Terminology
- What to do before you live in your RV full-time
Part 2:
- Common mistakes
- RV supplies checklist
- What documents to have with you
- Campsite etiquette
- How to manage life logistics in an RV
- All about glamping
- Traveling with Fido
Part 3: Over 101 hacks all about different areas of RV living
- Food
- Sleeping
- Cleaning
- Organizing
- Maintenance
- Health
- Money
- Navigation
- Safety
- Comfort
- Recreation
In short, I hope you will find some helpful information all about the nomadic RV lifestyle. My wish is that you will be enlightened and inspired after reading my book. Be sure to check out the table of contents before you purchase this book to see that this book is full of - hopefully, helpful and useful information.

Story
We have been living the RV life for the last five years now, and I must admit that these five years are the best years of our life so far. I also must admit that not everything has been glorious and fun. Yes, we have faced our fair share of problems and hiccups on various fronts, but looking back, they all were great learning experiences. However, RV living isn’t just for retirees; it can be for anyone who wants to enjoy the freedom of living on the road, although this doesn’t mean that full-time RV living is for everyone.

When I was a newbie traveler, I made many mistakes, forgot to take essential items, and just made some bad choices. Over the years, through experience and learning from others, I have learned what you need to do to travel as safely as possible, what essential items to take, how to take care of your health, and how to make the most of your trip.

These past years have been tough, and teens may have had it the hardest. From social isolation to re-integration, economic uncertainty, the pressures of academic achievement in an increasingly competitive society, and navigating the dangers of the online world, teens must face unique challenges that most adults never experienced in their youth. Unfortunately, these challenges have resulted in 91 percent of Gen Z young adults experiencing symptoms of depression and/or anxiety, making them the generation with the worst mental health on record.

Everyone’s financial situation is different. Whatever may fit your budget may not fit mine and vice versa, keeping that in mind I wrote this book for those who want to enjoy the freedom of the open road but on a reasonable budget. If you are like me and live off of a limited monthly income; then you may enjoy what you find in this book. Even though I didn’t discuss how to find free foods or soup kitchens in different cities, I did discuss how to find a lot of everyday needs while RVing for cheap and sometimes free.

In Made in America, Bryson de-mythologizes his native land, explaining how a dusty hamlet with neither woods nor holly became Hollywood, how the Wild West wasn't won, why Americans say 'lootenant' and 'Toosday', how Americans were eating junk food long before the word itself was cooked up, as well as exposing the true origins of the G-string, the original $64,000 question, and Dr Kellogg of cornflakes fame.

Story
The “mountain men” were the hunters and trappers who fiercely strode the Rocky Mountains in the early to mid-1800s. They braved the elements in search of the skins of beavers and other wild animals, to sell or barter for goods. The lifestyle of the mountain men could be harsh, existing as they did among animals, and spending most of their days and nights living and camping out in the great unexplored wilds of the Rockies.
