About this listen

The Catholic and Christian faith is so deep and rich that it's hard to wrap your mind around it. For those interested in getting an overview of the Catholic faith, you'll learn about the early Church fathers, Apostolic Canons, the Holy Mass, liturgy, sacraments, prayers and devotions, cardinal and theological virtues, mortal and venial sin, the Doctrine of Purgatory and the many theologies of the Church (moral, mystical, ascetical, dogmatic). This audiobook gives you an overview and insight into a subject otherwise only understood through lengthy study.

I certainly don't mean to be rude. I was very excited about listening to his book. I almost wondered at times if the voice was computer generated.
outline form does not work for me as a listener. This does not imply it won't work for others.

outline, not much content.

When speaking of Holy week in particular, the author writes based on conservative tradition, rather than the actual guidelines of the Roman Missal, etc. As a music director for six years, I have poured of the Roman Missal and it's recommendations and rules. The author contradicts these, and this I do not trust any of the rest of his writing on this topic.

The performer mispronounces many words, including basic ones like "process".

Inaccurate

I was very happy with it except for the quality of the audio. Missed several words

Good overview

It's a shame because it has good information, but the short 3-minute chapters sound more like rattled off names and vocabulary than an informational essay.

About as audiobook appropriate as a grocery list.

This book has a number of inaccuracies. It would not receive a passing grade as a college paper!
There are errors and not all are caused by the simplistic content.
The reader obviously does not know the first thing about Latin pronunciation!

Inaccurate! Poorly Reac

Would you try another book from Marilynn Hughes and/or Ken Maxon?

I would not read another of Hughes' books. It sounded as if someone was reading a table of contents. I cannot say much about the reader because reading aloud a table of contents hardly leaves room to display one's talents.

Awful
