About this listen

The audiobook will answer many questions of a woman at various stages of pregnancy. You will learn about the tests and examinations needed and understand how the fetus develops. You will find information on how to prepare for pregnancy, how to eat right, and what are some special sets of exercises for pregnant women.

Of course, pregnancy and the birth of a baby are the brightest periods in the life of every woman and her loved ones. However, if you consider these periods as a complete holiday, you'll encounter great disappointment. After all, this is also a time of serious work and a complete restructuring of the woman’s body and family life - both are not always easy.

The body and the psyche of the expectant mother often present her with surprises, and not always pleasant ones. Physical changes lead to various ailments typical of pregnant women. Relationships with loved ones change, sometimes in a completely unexpected way. Future parents themselves may encounter very conflicting feelings. But, no panic! All difficulties are surmountable.

Love this book. I purchased it after starting to read the "What to expect" series. I found those very judgmental and opinionated. I enjoyed the tone of the book much better. I'm slowly listening it as it to my pregnancy. I enjoy how easy it is to reference when I need to look up something I listen.

Easy and helpful and interesting book

I like the balanced perspective this book offers on all topics of pregnancy and birth. Many books I’ve listen have a strong bias towards home birth/natural or hospital/pain medication. This book tells you about both options without a strong or any bias. I also liked the medical and factual perspective.

Good information

it has some good information but some of it felt opinionated rather than factual. I did learn some things but I'll be listening to a more in depth book next.

Very helpful and informative book for those planning to become pregnant or already pregnant. Mostly everything you need to know is in this book. It tracks your pregnancy week by week and discusses common symptoms during pregnancy, as well as pregnancy complications. It also has a section about postpartum and the newborn. Overall, it is a great reference .
