About this listen

Al has completed loading the maximum quota of milled grain on the royal caravan. Something he thought would never happen when his entire family, and half of the mill’s experienced journeymen were killed on the first day of milling last summer. Now the king wants him to increase their annual production of grain as much as they can. The still to young Master Miller has to work with the farmers to figure out how to give them more acres to farm. More grain means he needs more mill capacity, which will force him to build a new higher capacity mill.
On top of all that, the king has made Al the earl of a large county. On more thing he has to figure out. The two cities added to his county have to raise their food production as well. Al will probably need to help with that. He somehow suspects the king has more up his sleeve than just more grain. The young earl quickly finds out the two cities have their own problems with a nearby baron. Why did he make him an earl otherwise.
The last issue, is why has his mill been sabotaged twice now? Are there greater forces in play? Can Al figure that out before the unknown forces succeed in trying to kill him? Moving forward is the only way to figure that out.

Tales of Morla is based on a system world. A world where most adventurers don’t adventure full time. They have lives to live beyond adventuring and work at trades or crafts to provide themselves a home and a life. They have to deal with politics, the weather, taxes, personal relationships, growing up, raising kids, making friends, total jerks, and the death of loved ones
Unbeknownst to our heroes, different parts of the world have other systems that function differently. Systems that may be in conflict with each other. The systems promote adventuring, as EP is the coin the systems use in their unseen conflicts with each other.
