About this listen
ELIZABETH BENNET’s pride has her learning a difficult lesson: Loyalty is hard to find, and trust is easy to lose. Even after they share a passionate kiss outside the Meryton assembly hall and are forced to marry, Elizabeth cannot forget the indignity she experienced at the hands of Fitzwilliam Darcy. Although she despises his high-handedness, Elizabeth appreciates the protection he provides her in their marriage. But can she set her prejudice aside long enough to know a great love?
FITZWILLIAM DARCY places only two demands on his new wife: her loyalty and her trust, but when she invites his worst enemy to Darcy House, he has no choice but to turn her out. Trusting her had been his decision, but proving his choice the right one before she destroys two hearts meant to be together must be hers, and Darcy is not certain Elizabeth is up to the task.

I much prefer the sharpest criticism of a single intelligent man to the thoughtless approval of the masses. ELIZABETH BENNET is determined that she will put a stop to her mother’s plans to marry off the eldest Bennet daughter to Mr. Collins, the Longbourn heir, but a man that Mr. Bennet considers an annoying dimwit. Hence, Elizabeth disguises herself as Jane and repeats her vows to the supercilious rector as if she is her sister, thereby voiding the nuptials and saving Jane from a life of drudgery. “It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife.” - Jane Austen Elizabeth Bennet Darcy wakes in an unfamiliar room, attended by a stranger, who claims she is his wife and saying she has suffered an injury to her head. He accuses her of pretending her memory loss, but to Elizabeth, the fear is real. “Surely you know me,” he protested. His words sounded as if he held his emotions tightly in check. “I am William. Note: This is a reedited version of Of Kindness and Kisses which was done to correct several typos. In addition, this new version includes the very short sequel to the original story. More Kisses was previously published as a short story but is, in essence, an extended epilogue to Of Kindness and Kisses, a sweet, clean, low-angst Pride and Prejudice variation. This new version is approximately 75,000 words. Excerpt: Elizabeth Bennet sat at the writing desk in the bedchamber she shared with her sister Jane. It had been some time since she had recorded any thoughts, impressions, or ...

One warning, two cautions, and two notes: WARNING: Portions of this book focus on some of George Wickham’s worst crimes against young ladies. While the revenge taken is not fully or graphically detailed, it is extreme. “He had certainly formed such a plan, and without meaning that it should effect his endeavour to separate him from Miss Bennet, it is probable that it might add something to his lively concern for the welfare of his friend.” Pride & Prejudice, chapter 45 This vagary proposes an alternate path for the characters of Pride and Prejudice. Story
As a child, Elizabeth Bennet's years were split into two distinct segments: her normal life with four rambunctious sisters in Hertfordshire, and summers in Derbyshire on the estate of her father's friend Mr. Darcy. Summertime meant peaks to explore, horses to ride, a library full of books, and friends unlike anyone she knew at home. It was an idyllic escape - until the year that everything came crashing down and summers at Pemberley became no more than a fading memory. When Fitzwilliam Darcy walks into the Meryton Assembly half a decade later, Elizabeth doesn't know how to reconcile the two...

Story
Still shaken from his horrible proposal, Elizabeth Bennet falls ill at the Rosings Parsonage upon reading Fitzwilliam Darcy’s letter. In her increasingly delirious state, unfathomable influences inspire her to write an impulsive response. The letter gives Mr. Darcy hope in a way that nothing else could. As her illness progresses, Darcy is there at her side, crossing boundaries he has never crossed, declaring things he has never declared. A unique experience bridges them over their earlier misunderstandings, and they start to work out their differences. That is, until Elizabeth begins to ...

I much prefer the sharp criticism of a single intelligent man to the thoughtless approval of the masses. - Johannes Kepler When she arrives at Hunsford Cottage for a visit with her long-time friend Charlotte Collins, Elizabeth Bennet does not expect the melodrama awaiting her at Rosings Park. Of Friendship and Forgiveness is a sweet, clean, low angst Pride and Prejudice variation of 62,000 words written from a Christian perspective. Excerpt: Elizabeth lay back onto the grass allowing the sun to warm her face and the breeze to tousle her hair. The gloriously vivid blue sky was reflected perfectly in the still end of the loch while the waterfall at the other end sent a cooling mist into the air. Perfect. This was a perfectly lovely day in a perfectly lovely place. She thought about the series of events that had brought her here to this remote estate in Scotland, alone except for ...

Kick her to the curb
Elizabeth is acting like the witch she usually is, which is hateful and mean when Darcy pays her back in kind. I was happy because she richly deserved retribution.

Warning: This review may be a little spoiler-y. :)
I really enjoyed this book until things took a flaming nosedive around Chapter 18. Darcy's reaction to the Lady Catherine confrontation had me fuming, but then how he handled Wickham at his house threw me into a rage. Mr. Bennett taking Darcy's side irritated the snot out of me, but what made me want to just stop listening and add the author to my NEVER AGAIN list was Elizabeth's attitude and how she chose to solve the problem.
Also, in many of these Virtual Voice P&P variations the author often has Georgianna refer to her brother as "Darcy," which makes me think AI was the true author. :/ Lastly, a weird plot hole that bothered me was when Georgianna said she was no longer angry with Elizabeth for causing chaos or betraying her trust, bc no one even told Elizabeth about Wickham's bad deeds until AFTER he showed up at Darcy House, so how was she supposed to know? Maybe it wouldn't have been that big of a deal but I was already aggravated by the other events, so it just added to my annoyance.
