Such a talented narrator!

I love the range on this narrator! I’ll update my review when I finish the book but so far I’m excited by the concept and intrigued by the characters and the setting. So far the political landscape and intrigue could be stronger. The author provides all good reasons for the prince to go on a special mission, but the players at his home court are a bit one-dimensional and I’d love to learn more about who is who and what their roles and motivations are because the concept is strong. Maybe that comes later but I assume most of the book takes place outside the prince’s home domain.

Incredible narration for an amazing book

This was already a great book, but with Amara's narration, it is beyond amazing.

This book is told from the viewpoint of the MMC, Dracho, a dragon who is the son of the Emperor of Tenebris. It follows him while he journeys into the human lands to discover who or what is killing whole villages. He and his friend, Antares, meet a group of humans who are also investigating the killings. Secrets of the humans' identities, mysterious magic that has darkness behind it, and personal betrayals bring this story around towards a new war on the continent.

I can't gush enough about Amara's narration. She is absolutely brilliant. Her ability to switch from female to male voice is so perfect you would almost believe there are two narrators. I hope this is something she wants to to more often. I would listen to any book she narrates. First, though, I want to hear her narrate all the books in The Stag and Hollow Chronicles.
