About this listen

I’m hiding from the mob when I should be running from my irresistible bodyguards.

I’ll do anything to avoid my life ending like my mother's…

Dead from a rival gang's bullet.

So when my father sends me into hiding,

I don’t question him. Because I have them.

Xander, Cash, Hunter & Lucas–my bodyguards.

Sexy, badass, older Mafia Gods.

Hired to protect me.

But they possess me.

They’re fierce and relentless in their mission to keep me alive.

And savage and merciless in their desire to own me.

The attraction between us is insane.

Forced into spending long days and hot nights together

fuels the fire between us.

Sleeping with a boss's daughter isn’t in their job description.

And when daddy finds out we’ll have more to worry about than the men hunting me down.

Because my father will do anything to save me,

And they’ll do anything to keep me…

EHH

I dont know what to think about this book. i enjoyed the preface but didn't like the execution. Mia is supposed to be this mafia princess but she really has no back bone or genuine thought in her head. every time she does she is shot down by one of her guards.

I'm all for an Alpha male but this is not Alpha Male this is controlling male with a side of women are possession's. they tell her what to wear, what to eat, where to sit, tell her she cant be mad at her father for up ending her whole life, gets yelled at for kissing some one is public and has to be "put in her place", scolds her for cussing but that is a double standard because they do, gets mad at her for staying out all night when she has LITERALY no control over anything. Lucas kept her out all night. what was she supposed to do argue with him. IM SORRY she cant even argue about what she wants to wear or eat. do you think he would have listened if she said we should head back. NO no he would not have because Mia is not aloud to have a single original thought in her head with out her getting scolded

As for the audio quality. i usually do not mind the robotic nature of AI read stuff. i can always just tune out the issues, its always lacking because its not a human voice and they cant tell nuances but this was one of the worst i have heard.

To little

It made me think the author was in a hurry to get the story done and rushed the whole thing and the ending was by far the worst. Just so abrupt.

Reads like a rough draft

The story concept is good but poorly executed. It reads like a rushed fanfic that the author lost interest in half way through. That paired with the bad AI narration created a very unenjoyable experience with this book.

Unlikable

The FMC is very unlikable and doesn’t really make sense. Seems like the author wants to use the bratty girl trope but it makes the character seem immature rather than feisty. None of the characters make sense. The bodyguards claim to be professionals but behave like amateurs. The whole story is badly thought out and was almost painful to listen to. So glad I didn’t pay for it.
