About this listen

Some secrets are better left buried beneath the ice...

Dr. Patton Rowe swore he would never follow in the footsteps of the father he wholeheartedly resented. While on his deathbed, Rowe's father confesses his darkest secret: a disastrous North Pole excavation, twenty members of his excavation team killed... and the ancient, evil thing his team unearthed from its icy slumber. The prideful promise Dr. Rowe had made to himself is broken, and all of his efforts and money are poured into succeeding where his father failed.

Chilling

The book reminds me popular saying I can’t attribute to anyone specific. ”Rescue your father from the belly of the beast” Since the book explores a story about a man trying to finish his father’s work. To put a spin on the popular phrase "Let that which is in the dark be brought to light" I would probably say some things are better left alone in the dark. The writer does a great job describing the events in the book in a way I was able to visualize what was happening. The author’s use of descriptive and vivid vocabulary actually kept me imagining these lovecraftian creatures and their actions. Would recommend to fans of the fantasy genre . Sweet and quick read too.
