About this listen
Abe Lincoln Country, Louisville, Kentucky, 1859
Wade Taylor is the perfect blend of American renegade-pioneer and English aristocracy. He stands for God, the Bible, freedom, and guns. If anyone can bring Owens to justice, he can! The problem is, Miss Jenna is bait and doesn't even realize it. It's going to take round the clock coverage to protect her. Twelve schools in Jefferson County under his jurisdiction, but the school house in rural county district four...
Owens is fixated on. Vivacious and beautiful, Jenna is the product of her southern belle mother and abolitionist father. She's also the new teacher in district four. How on earth is he going to keep her out of trouble and bring Owens to justice? The tension is building in beautiful, rolling Kentucky in this Civil War Era love story! Kentucky author, Lisa M. Prysock, manages to keep listeners on the edge of their seats with many twists and turns in this heartwarming, Christian, faith-inspired, historical romance.

Keeping Your Beliefs
Listening to protecting Miss Jenna was a pleasure. The narrator kept you involved with the story. We are in Kentucky, when slavery was still an issue, but more people were against it, and the Civil War was to be in the near future. Jenna was a southern belle, but was against slavery. She meets Wade, when he interviewed her for a teaching position. Wade is afraid for Jenna, after the events that happened with the last teacher. He will protect Jenna at all cost. Jenna discovers that Wade has the same values as her against slavery. Together, they will work to help free the slaves. The author has done her research for this time. And it shows in her story. I was given a copy of this book by the author for an honest review.
