About this listen

"The mouths of liars will be stopped."

King David is oppressed by enemies in this psalm, but he knows they will eventually be fed to the jackals. The NRSV English Psalm 63 is followed by the same psalm in French.

Interesting, but cluttered with music

I have to say that this reading of Psalm 63 is very different. It is not your grandmother's version of the Psalms. This is not to say that there was anything wrong with the reading of the Psalms itself. The narrator has an interesting French accent, and the point of this recording was apparently to showcase Psalm 63 in English, and then in French.

My only complaint is that I found the music in the background to be distracting, and there are times when I can't even hear the narrator for the music. Maybe I'm just too used to calm, contemplative music paired with Scripture, but getting used to that would take a lot.
