Shep and Cody go out on a first date but Shep's demon hasn't stopped visiting him. The town theater company prepares for opening night while Shep is haunted by a memory he doesn't think he should have. Cody's past is revealed and a killer is found.

Police Chief Joe Flynn won't give Shep Carson his badge and gun back. He doesn't think Shep is ready to return to the force. Even Johnny thinks Shep has become unhinged. Cody thinks Shep is the demon who's been haunting the house and Dottie wants Shep to play the role of a monster for a Halloween show at the theater. Marcie insists Shep Carson will make the perfect monster and none of them know how wrong they really are.
