About this listen

Boyd Billingsworth is an extremely rich lawyer from Canada who made his fortune separating widows and spinsters from their money. In order to preserve his ill-deserved but pristine reputation, Boyd is forced to act like a saint when he's in his home town. The only times Boyd can let his inner asshole out to play are when he's in the company of his best and only friend or when he's on vacation. That's when Boyd loves to be an outrageous jerk. Timothy Camacho is a poor, overworked Catholic Priest with a kind and generous heart who resides in Bleakwood, Texas. These polar opposites meet by pure chance in an airport on their way to Las Vegas where Fate or God conspires to force them to share a hotel room together for a week. During a heated discussion fueled by beer, the priest accuses the lawyer of being a greedy, immoral predator taking obscene advantage of trusting elderly women. The lawyer retaliates by claiming that the Catholic Church is also in the business of milking gullible old widows. He calls the Catholic Church just another greedy multinational corporation and an abusive employer which, by overworking and grossly underpaying its priests, has effectively turned Father Timothy into a pathetic slave. The lawyer and the priest are both profoundly affected by that insulting exchange, and their lives and careers are deeply impacted by their new perspectives. When greed and charity are thrown together, neither escapes unscathed. ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Donald W.
