It’s hard to outrun the ghosts of your past when you can talk to the dead...

Leigh Raelyn should be burned at the stake. Not only did she cause the deaths of her family — she’s also a Lunar witch, bonded with the outlawed element, aether. But hiding an illicit gift is almost impossible when you’re next in line for the throne, and her supply of magical suppressants is dwindling.

So, when she discovers a way to surrender her title, Leigh seizes her chance.

Wilder Dunn will do whatever it takes to ascend the ranks of the Borealis Blades — so long as it gives him the power to bring his sister’s killers to their knees. But as the son of a traitor, he is failing to gain favor with the Council. When Wilder agrees to protect the princess ahead of her coronation, he hopes to prove fealty to authority. Until he discovers the real reason for his employment...

With Wilder’s help, Leigh goes in search of her throne-bargaining secret: the truth behind Corona’s centuries-old peace treaties. But as the pair spiral closer to a realm-shattering revelation, only one thing is clear: to fix the world order they need to break it...and possibly, their own hearts too.

RAISE HELL is the first book in the Eleventh Hour series by Brit KS. This fantasy romance is filled with witches, vampires, ancient laws, tech mixed with magic, and slow-burn lovers.

Raise hell

Leigh Raelyn is a complicated strong royal and she feels it’s her fault part of her family is dead. And most of that is due to her magic which is a sentence to lock anyone up with it. She’s been taking suppressants to hide her magic till she can get her grandmother to name someone else heir. And then there is Wilder a man who’s trying to be judged for who he is and not whose son he is. These two are forced to work together to find answers. As the story progresses we get both their PoVs which made the story so much better. They are both hiding secrets and yet want to be with each other no matter the class system. The story has some great magic and world building along with political intrigue. The twists and turns were great and kept the story entertaining since I kept trying to figure out who truly was the bad guy. The characters are flawed and real and they make mistakes. I really want more in this world. The narrators did a fantastic job with the characters.

Intriguing Romantasy! Great Story & Narration🎧

This is an intriguing fantasy romance with incredible world building and fascinating paranormal characters that include various types of witches and vampires, living in a kingdom of royalty and where hierarchy matters. Leigh Raelyn was born into royalty and is next in line for the throne, except she is hiding a big secret, one that could get her killed. She is not your typical royal princess, going to places no royals should go , and making friends in low places, in the underground, ones who can not be trusted, or can they? For the sake of herself and her family she needs to find an out and not be he next queen, but she uncovers more than she bargained for, luckily she has some on her side, some she never expected, but then again there are betrayals from some she never expected or saw coming too. Wilder Dunn is on a mission of vengeance, to work his way up in the ranks so he could avenge his sister’s death, and he finds his way in when he gets assigned to keep Leigh safe. There was an instant attraction between Wilder and Leigh, and with similar goals, the two wind up making a great team. This is a fast-moving, cleverly plotted story with a lot of layers and non-stop drama, angst, action, twists and turns, heartfelt emotions and a slow burn romance. Brit KS, thanks for this adventurous and entertaining story.

🎧📚🎧 M.K. Blackwood and Walker Williams were the perfect cast to bring these characters to life and did so with a complete understanding of who they were portraying, giving each a voice that was fitting. I loved how they took each role and made them their own, sounding believable and just as I imagined the characters to sound. Blackwood’s Leigh was fierce and perfectly bad-arse, and Williams nailed it as Wilder, also showcasing his personality perfectly. Both were fabulous performing the roles of all the secondary characters too. Their pacing and tone were right for the story, and they captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. These two made a great team, with voices and talent that complemented each other and a performance that elevates the story to another level. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thanks for another fantastic listen.

Raise Hell had all the spooky vibes for this Halloween season. Leigh Raelyn is the cause of the deaths in her family. She happens to also be a Luna Witch that controls the element, aether. Her gift is hidden, but it's harder to hide when she's next in throne and her magical suppressants are getting low. When she finds a way to surrender her title, Leigh takes it. Wilder Dunn will do anything to get into the higher ranks of the Borealis Blades so that he can bring justice to his sister's death. When Wilder agrees to protect the princess before the coronation, he soon later finds out the real reason he was hired.

The audiobook was fantastic! Performed in duet narration by Walker Williams and MK Blackwood. Both narrators are new to me and I loved their voices. They were both perfect as Leigh and Wilder. Walker's sexy voice brought out Wilder's confidence and he exuded Wilder's strong willed attitude. He portrayed Wilder's determination to get justice for his sister's death as well as his overprotectiveness for Leigh. MK had a refined and elegant voice. She portrayed Leigh's somber mood in the beginning and as the story progressed she portrayed Leigh's bravery and willingness to find out the truth. Leigh seeking out the truth to protect her people was commendable. Together Walker and MK had captivating performances that kept me enthralled the entire time.

Complex and Suspenseful!

This was my first Brit KS's book. This is the first installment in The Eleventh Hour Series, a fantasy romance. Leigh and Wilder's story is complex and suspenseful. They are both enigmatic characters. I liked the instant attraction and the slow burn romance. The world building is original and fascinating, filled with drama, angst, danger, action and twists and turns. There is a lot going on in this installment. M.K. Blackwood and Walker Williams did a great job bringing this story to life. Looking forward to listening to the next book in the series to know what happens next. #PFPAudio

Can't wait for more

This is a new author for me. I truly hope there is more to come in this series. Fantastic word building and storytelling. There are many classes of witches, races of beings, such as vampires, and they do not play nicely with each other. One sector has prosecuted another sector based on a history of lies, which is what Leigh (the most un-princess-ly princess and heroine of the story). The narrators did an AMAZING job on this production. They really brought the characters to life. Excellent start to what i hope is a long series.

I requested and received a free audio copy via the publisher, and I voluntarily wrote this honest review. #TheFlockVIPReviewTeam #PinkFlamingoProductions #PFPAudio

Good book

I enjoyed this book. The feminine audio does need a bit more editing as some things were repeated and some voices seemed to be voiced inaccurate. This didn't happen enough to really take away from the story but it did remove me from the story a bit and impact the listening experience.

I received an audio code. this review is honest and voluntary.

3 star listen

I didn’t enjoy this audio.
Book one.
Medium burn as advised. I feel like the story almost wrapped itself up, most questions are answered in a basic way.
Book two I’m guessing will be a deeper character development.
3 star listen, characters are relatable and I found myself invested enough to continue.
