In one of Phil Mason's many revelations, you'll learn that Communist jets were two minutes away from opening fire on American planes during the Cuban missile crisis, when they had to turn back as they were running out of fuel. You'll discover that before the Battle of Waterloo, Napoleon's painful hemorrhoids prevented him from mounting his horse to survey the battlefield.

You'll Be Raising Chickens in Just 30 Days!!
I have been listening to a few different books lately on raising chickens, and I must say this one is well worth the listen. I love the idea of establishing a self-sustaining lifestyle at home with growing our own vegetables, it only makes sense to think about raising chickens as well. This audiobook covers all you need to know to get started. You will learn about choosing breeds for egg production or meat production (or both), building coops, the laws in your state, and much more. I loved learning about how to keep the chickens healthy and happy! There is so much information in this audiobook. I highly recommend it!!!!

Comprehensive Guide
Great book! It has everything you need to know all in one place. It walks you through the whole process of picking the right breed to building a coop, feeding and healthcare. This guide is super detailed, but easy to follow so you won’t get lost even if you’re a beginner, I appreciated the tips on keeping the chickens happy because happy chickens mean better, eggs, and meat:) It also goes into detail on how to make money from selling eggs and meat if that is something you’d like to explore. I recommend this for anyone thinking about getting into this and wants to get it right from the start. It’s straightforward and by the end you feel pretty prepared and confident to start.

Urban Homesteading Reality Check
As I was considering the leap into urban chicken farming, I found this audiobook. It provided thorough details for beginners and offered specific advice on navigating local regulations—crucial for someone like me, living just a street away from where city limits make poultry a no-go. It even touched on nuances like the rooster next door, outside city jurisdiction, shedding light on how different areas may have varying rules. An indispensable guide for anyone looking to responsibly start their chicken journey within the bounds of local laws.

Excellent Resource!
This book is great! It's the comprehensive, entertaining, and educational resources for getting into raising chickens. It covers so many topics from what breeds to consider and the benefits of each, how much space you'll need and even if they are allowed where you live (HOA, city, etc.), what to feed them, diseases to watch out for, how to keep them healthy, etc. It literally covers it all. My sister just got chickens and this is the book that I'll be getting for her. There are so many benefits to raising your own chickens and this book takes the overwhelm out of the equation. I felt like it was actually something I can do and not just keep thinking about doing. I definitely recommend this book!
