About this listen

Under the Blackmoon, elf fire rises to meet a growing shadow but no one expects what is coming.

Fadis, Ranger of the North, had thought he had seen it all when he was with the Stormborn... then one sudden explosion later and thousands of fanged thralls of a lost Vampire-God erupted from the grounds all across his homeland. Rallying fellow rangers, elves, and dwarves to his side— the living fight for their lives.

But worse whispers come from the dark places of the world: a veil descends across Taria isolating it from the rest of the lands as an ancient Rusis temple comes alive... when two rangers sneak in looking for something to help in the war, they risk unleashing something much, much worse.

Enter into Taria and prepare for a glorious battle with heroes and heroines of all kinds! Ranger's Oath introduces the Rangers of the Pines, the Deep South and Creole-inspired warriors along with many surprise charactes that are bound to become new reader favorites!

I was looking for a DnD based, Ranger centric book and came across Ranger's Oath. The authors lead in to story telling was engaging and fun, hindered only by the lack of subtleties in story that come from human read back. That said, I thoroughly enjoyed the book and will be purchasing the second. The story production and tie in of the various characters was done well, with clever "traps" tossed in at the beginning. For me it was tough at first to follow the various characters without the aid of a genuine human voice but I got through and enjoyed the read, wholly. If you're looking for a fun adventure story with cast, story lines, build up and a clever ending, this is a great place to start.

Entertaining and fun tie ins!

The story by Williams is very good and worthy of a Kindel read. The AI voice reading for Audible was just awful however and I do not recommend the Audible version of this book.

The AI voice had almost no inflection, did not pause enough over punctuation, and appeard to be reading a bad English translation of the book. It was offputting to the point I had to stop. If the Audible version wasn't included in my monthly subscription I would be requesting a refund.
