This will make you get book 6!

I love this series, so glad it was recommended to me! This was a quick listen, Ransom Cox, hockey player comes home to his mother and brings her the beloved cup. He has been burnt by love in the past, and is hesitant to get serious with anyone. He does have his fantasy girl from high school in the back of his mind all the time though, and who should he meet up with? Lexa Carlisle, fired from her job comes back home to lick her wounds and who does she see? This couple is hot from the very start. Their chemistry is off the charts. While that is always fun when listening, I love the Nana Malone can integrate a great storyline in the book as well. It's not all about the couple and their chemistry. It's about family, privacy, helping each other out and getting to know each other. She has a knack for developing her characters so that you "know" them well by the end of the book....and the cliff hanger at the end of this one is going to make me reach for Gage next!

The narrating team of Traci Odom and Sebastian York does not even need to be mentioned, that is just a plus to the entertainment that Nana Malone provides.

Worth the chances

Unrequited teenage attraction gets a second chance in Nana Malone's Ransom. The story is well done, especially since it is a little on the shorter side. That doesn't mean that it was short on drama though; there are some bumps in the road. Sometimes a second chance just isn't enough... good thing for third chances! The narration was also well done, as I've come to expect from Sebastian and Traci.

Great addition to the series

This is a Great book. I love this series by Nana Malone. Ransom Cox goes home after winning the cup to spend his day with the cup with his mom. Lexa Carlisle is back home trying to get over a bad break up and bad work experience. The two of them both liked each other in high school but they never admitted it to the other. Can they make it work. Will some secrets hurt their chances though. This is a great read.

Traci Odom and Sebastian York keeps you listening.

Great book for the series!

This quick read/listen is a great addition to The Player series. I know I asked myself why Ransom since we know that he is not a Coulter sibling but we soon find out why. I can't wait for the next book to see how his connection to the Coulter family is addressed with the family. This book was fast and steamy that ends with a HEA!

Once again Sevastion York and Traci Odom do a wonderful job narrating this book! Can't wait for more from them and this series!

The best story but the shortest

This was the best story of the series but it was the shortest :(. This story has so much potential for drama it was a little bit of a let down that the storyline of being related to the colters wasn’t developed very much. Also the predictable storyline of the nerdy girl and jock who secretly like each other but never hook up in high school is a little old. They could have worked for it a little bit before getting together at the end

Oh my!

This book in the player series gets 4.5 Stars.
I love a strong man that respects and cares for his mom. Not to the point of being a mama’s boy but, a person who looks out for his mom’s welfare.
That describes Ransom who is also a big, strong pro hockey player. Oh, and his is well endowed in “the package” area.
Ransom is lonely and divorced by 23 and has an ex wife that wrote a tell all book, including a description of his man parts. What most people didn’t know is the book is about 25% truth.
Enter the h who went to high school with him, the person he secretly wishes he could have a relationship with.
Ransom is the son of a well known athlete but his father never acknowledged him. He thinks he doesn’t deserve love because the only person that has really cared about him is his mom.
His mom is one wise hard working woman that finally gets thru to her son that he is lovable, he just chose the wrong woman to share his life with.
Our H and h go thru a few angst-y moments but nothing that a little communication won’t fix.
My only complaint is the ending was so abrupt. I would have liked to have read more about their relationship once things got strait out. Did the h move with him to New Orleans? Did they get married? Start a family?

Coulter who, what, wow . . .

I did not think I would find one of the guys that I would love as much as I did Fox or maybe a bit more. This one for me was a total slap-shot. A man lost, confused, reject, unwanted, or so he thought and felt. This one was just warm, intense, deep, sweet, gentle, sexy, exhausting. I loved getting to know Ransom and Lexa as individuals and together as they explored their chance at love together. Both having had the desire to be with the other years earlier but it just did not work out for them then. One feeling like a geek the other feeling just out of place. Neither understand the true depth of what they meant to each other until things got very rock and almost lost.

This was a quick read into a new Coulter member. The connection was interesting but not the soul focus of the read. That was what made it hat much more for me. There was no Grandpa Coulter. Although the ending gave a little buzz of hope for more.

York and Odom again did a good job on bring to life the world of Nana Malone set forth.
