Story
Jeremy always said Space Academy was Earth's last hope. People only dream of leaving a dying planet in search of better lives. Avery never expected he would be forced to do just that. On the heels of his brother's murder, his father's disappearance, and with Earth's dwindling water supply now contaminated with a deadly virus, Avery and his younger brother have no choice but to leave Earth behind and join the survivors migrating the nearest habitable planet. What they don't know is that the rarity of water extends far beyond Earth, and they aren't the only ones fighting for survival.

Story
When you’re 11 years old, it’s tough convincing people to take you seriously. When you’re an 11-year-old savant, It’s exponentially more difficult. Since Jake’s inability to connect with others had made him somewhat of an outcast for most of his life, he’d learned to divert his energy into his artistic talent, creating mesmerizing images capable of literally paralyzing anyone who should gaze upon them.

Publisher's summary
For Amanda, there's nothing like the peace and tranquility of flying among the clouds at 10,000 feet. The crowds and the politics of the city far behind. The packs of zombies and marauders far below. But the Necromancer has other ideas. Shot down on an emergency delivery, Amanda's mission and her life are both put in jeopardy. Threats surround her, and not just from the living dead. It's a race against her hunters, against time, against the wilds themselves......And something in the wilds is waking up!

The zombies are coming
This was an interesting story. At first I was not sure if I would enjoy the story. It just seemed like a dystopian world that humanity. It did not get interesting to me until the pilot met the family with a great secret which she will not tell.

The zombies and wolves
This was a good book, it was a little slow in the beginning but I would never thought that they would be a book about zombies and werewolves at the same time, great storyline as well

Audio quality almost made this a dnf for me
Not gonna lie, the audio quality for this book made it really hard for me to listen to. The base quality wasn’t great, but the re-recorded portions had a different tone, and just… it all made me twitchy. The storyline was interesting, with zombies and werewolves. I really would have liked to see the necromancer explored more, he was an interesting character and a fun little villain, with a fairly abrupt ending when he claimed it was impossible for him to die. It seems like this is the first book in a series, so hopefully he gets fleshed out more in the future and makes a return.
