Publisher's summary
Mandy Morgan touts herself as an E.R.E.: Essence Reclamation Expert. Together with her twin brother, Parker, the computer wizard of the duo, they grift across the country, scamming the bereaved by faking hauntings and then reclaiming the disembodied souls, all for a hefty price.
After arriving in the small, southern town of Forest Haven, Arkansas, to swindle the family of Jared Kendal, recently deceased, a sense of doom swirls inside her mind as strange events begin to unfold. She’s portrayed the role of an essence reclamation expert for years, toying with people grieving for lost loved ones, conning them for cash when they are at their most vulnerable stage in life, feeling no shame or sorrow for the pain she causes the naïve fools, yet she now worries the lies have wormed their way into her psyche.
As they prepare to con Jared Kendal’s widow, Clara, Mandy’s worst fears come to fruition as she discovers there is a high price to pay for leading such a deplorable life, and when fate calls, she cannot run or hide.

Story
The modern audience hasn't had a chance to truly appreciate the unknowing dread that readers would have felt when reading Bram Stoker's original 1897 manuscript. Most modern productions employ campiness or sound effects to try to bring back that gothic tension, but we've tried something different. By returning to Stoker's original storytelling structure - a series of letters and journal entries voiced by Jonathan Harker, Dr. Van Helsing, and other characters - with an all-star cast of narrators, we've sought to recapture its originally intended horror and power.

Story
They said write what you know so that's what I did. I wrote dirty, I wrote erotic, I wrote the truth. And then they called me a liar. But it's not me who's lying, it's them. Our story isn't for everyone. It's not even for us. So if you're looking for the fairy tale and the stupid prince on his dumb white horse, move along. You've got a hold of the wrong book. This is not your story, this is not your life, and this is not your opportunity to dip your frightened little toe into the dark pool of water and "try new things" and then pull it out and decide... #NotForMe.

Story
It’s the summer of ’77 in New York City, and the only thing more unnerving than the scorching heatwave is the rampant murder, leaving washed-up homicide detective Richard Dietrich on edge. When Dietrich investigates a brutal mob hit the brass doesn’t want him to solve, he goes from phoning it in to getting in over his head. Caught up in a mysterious second homicide with an even more perplexing perpetrator, Dietrich starts to second guess his instincts—and his memory—as he searches for answers at the bottom of a bottle.

Karma and Paranormal Vengeance
Who are Mandy and Parker Morgan? The fraternal twins on paper don't exist, so no one knows these two are drifters who prey on people at their weakest when they're grieving all for the love of money. Reclamation is a unique disturbing twist of horror, suspense, and supernatural karma at its finest. I won't give spoilers, but I will say this what you do to others has a way of coming back to you with a vengeance. I received this book for free upon my request. I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased review here of my own volition.

Reclamation
I loved it! This was a terrific read. Two young adults lead a life of swindling old folks but karma can be cruel. Narration by Andrea Emmes was excellent. I was given this book free for an honest review.

Absolutely Surprised the ___ Out of Me
Reclamation is a heart-pounding journey through the mind of a character on the edge. Brace yourself for a story that spirals as frantically as the thoughts within. Narrated with captivating charisma by Andrea Emmes, this book will keep you hooked until the shocking end.
Hold on to your headphones, folks, because Ashley Fontainne’s “Reclamation” is a roller coaster ride of a narrative that had me guessing right up until its explosive finale. As someone familiar with Fontainne’s work, I went into this audiobook with high expectations for her unique storytelling voice. What I got was an experience that completely caught me off guard—in the best way possible.
Fontainne’s writing is unlike anything I’ve read before. The plot unfolds through the eyes of a woman who is, as much as I dare say without spoiling, on the verge of losing it. The way Fontainne captures this descent—how she weaves thoughts that spiral almost frantically—left me completely immersed and thrilled. It’s like being on a wild ride where you can’t look away, and honestly, you don’t want to.
And let’s talk about Andrea Emmes, whose narration is nothing short of brilliant. Her ability to shift from oozing charisma to the tone of someone teetering on the edge is phenomenal. Emmes enhances every aspect of the story, ensuring that I felt not just like an observer, but a companion on this unpredictable journey.
Reclamation is a book that will surprise you, haunt you, and leave you stunned. It’s perfect for those who love their stories with a heavy dose of adrenaline and a touch of the unpredictable—a true testament to Fontainne’s prowess as a storyteller and Emmes’ skill as a narrator. Don’t miss out on this one; it’s a game-changer for psychological thriller aficionados.

Excellent - Terrifying and More!
Professional scammers serving as Essence Reclamation Experts both Mandy Morgan and her twin brother, set out to help the bereaved accept their loss and allow their loved ones to rest in peace. What they truly need is to put their own ghosts to rest first!
Ashley Fontainne, the author, delivers a fascinating tale guaranteed to keep you captivated until the end! Fontainne generates empathy for the two scammers by revealing their past, the shortcomings of their parents and society, and their drive to escape, even in the face of their parents’ death. The portrayal of Mand’s increasing mental breakdown/haunting experiences is skillfully done and thorough. It is vividly described and seamlessly integrates with the narrative. The dialogue and interaction between the two siblings are genuine.
The narrator, Andrea Emmes, utilizes her talented voice to skillfully and completely capture the pain, anxiety, fears, and emotional/mental strain experienced by Mandy. Emmes delivers a strong performance with a deliberate cadence. She speaks clearly and with different voices/tones enabling the listener to distinguish each character.
I have enjoyed each of Ms. Fontainne’s books. She is a gifted author who explores many different genres throughout her writing career! I can honestly say she has excelled in the genre of the supernatural! Highly recommend!
