About this listen

When gorgeous movie star Marin Alexander and handsome televangelist Warner Brice first lock eyes, they each feel they've found the perfect soul-mate. Although Marin agrees to exchange her celebrity for motherhood, she can't escape the spotlight's seductive song and fame's irresistible lure.

In this gripping tale of redemption, Jacquelin Thomas, Essence best-selling author of Defining Moments, portrays the tragic downward spiral of a Hollywood star whose destructive choices threaten her life, and everything else she once held dear.

I thought the story was well written and the narrator did a very good job. However I did not like the ending. I guess I would have preferred a happier ending.

I loved this book. It is a wonderful story of redemption. This is actually a great book for a couples bible study!

Brilliantly written and heartfelt

This book is broken up into two parts. It is a very good read! The main character Marnie shows how, when choices are selfishly made, bad things can happen even to good people. I highly recommend this book to everyone who is looking for redemption or trying to understand redemption. I found myself replaying parts of the book; that's how good it is!

A very good book!

I really enjoyed this book. I especially like the voice of the narrator. The story line was good. Each scene gave you and emotion and I felt like I was a member of the family. Well written.

I just wanted the love but so many sad parts. So be ready. Definitely see redemption, forgiveness and unconditional love. Makes you look within to see what judgments you pass onto others. Good writing. Great story. Awesome narrator!

Beautiful story of God’s forgiveness but sad

I really liked the story line and the book. However the person readng the book made it very hard to listen too. There were way too many pauses and you could hear her swallow, and drink whatever it was she had. I have listened to many audio books and this was the worst read one I have heard.

Not all should read audio

Very good story line, but the author is not a very good writer. She repeated herself throughout the whole book. The author went out of her way to make sure her characters were wealthy and most of all, that we knew it. A character couldn't just drive up in a car ~ oh no ~ it had to be a Benz (or whatever, I forgot which car since that was not really important). Poorly written and therefore it made the book not very entertaining. I wouldn't recommend nor read more of her books. Too superficial and PREDICTABLE!

It was just okay....too predictable....
