Publisher's summary

Refuge Cove, Alaska, stays true to its name when a woman who has lost hope and a man in need of healing come to each other's rescue.

She'd come to Alaska on the promise of marriage, only to find herself on the run from her would-be husband. Lost and alone in the wilderness, Emily Hunter nearly weeps with relief at the sight of a small plane in the distance - until the rugged bush pilot makes his way through the brush to help her. Can she trust this stranger any more than the menacing predator on her trail? But there's something in John Wolf's dark eyes that wills her to believe in him, something about his gentle nature that allows her to accept his offer of protection.

He'd let her into his life because he knew she was in trouble. The last thing John Wolf expects is to feel so much so quickly for the vulnerable woman in his care. For sharing his lonely wilderness home with Emily means allowing her to see his sorrow - the son he longs to reconnect with, the loss of the family he once dreamed possible. Sharing his heart with Emily means being willing to risk everything to keep her safe.

Money well spent!

Loved the narrator 's way of speaking. Very, very , good performance. Well done! Ms. Dailey kept my complete attention through her twists and turns in her compelling novel. Her descriptions of Alaska and the lakes. The horrid killer and how creepy he was. John was my hero and a remarkable man.
pat yourself on the back, girl. Job well done.

Refuge Cove

I've really enjoyed this story. It has strong characters , that can stand alone . They also blend well in this book. The reader has a great voice. Easy to listen to , calming . That makes it easy to sit back and get absorbed into the story.

Enjoyable atory

This was an enjoyable story. While the characters were interesting, it didn't seem to go into as much detail as many of her of her other novels. I would recommend this book.

good story with suspense, as well

I always enjoy Janet Dailey's books. She writes a good story with the right amount of romance without being too graphic.

Good story

The narrator was very good, did a good reading of the story. The story kept my interest all the way to the end...I listened to the whole book in one sitting. I had planned only listening to part of it today and the rest of it tomorrow...but it was too good and I couldn't talk myself into stopping.

Well written story set in Alaska filled with glimpses of the First Alaskans history.

First Alaskan hero with all foibles that accompany native Americans.
But the interesting part was how Emma turned out to be courageous. Very good narrative, well modulated and sincere tone. I really enjoyed this book!

Campy, cheesey, horrible

There is nothing that can redeem this book. The story is weak and cringe worthy. The narrator pronounces words wrong no less than one dozen times and makes the whole story even more cringey with his game show host style. Ugh.
